Why No News of Approvals for Sabah Flood Mitigation?

Kota Kinabalu:    “The turning of a blind eye to Sabah’s problems and the continuing failure of the federal government in addressing Sabah’s problems will make Sabahans angrier.  Worse still, it will contribute towards Sabahans wanting to opt out of the federation since there is a breakdown in the federation system of equal partnership” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief.

Devastating floods especially the last 2 years in Sabah have claimed lives, destroyed homes and schools as well as roads and bridges and massive destruction of crops.  The floods have even submerged the towns of Donggongon and Tenom.  Many are still suffering from the damaging effects of the floods.

PBS Actions Should Be Respected and Supported But ….

Kota Kinabalu: “The actions of PBS including the lodging of police reports in prodding the federal authorities to pursue further actions on the wrong-doing as highlighted in the RCI Report ought to be respected and supported by all Malaysians, more so by right thinking Sabahans” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, in response to news of police reports being lodged by PBS representatives on the RCI Report.

This is totally contrary to the other Umno leaders from Sabah who are aiding and abetting the Malayan leaders to continue to strangle and control Sabah as an internal colony.   They even

Rahman Should Help Solve Problems Not Blame Sabahans

Kota Kinabalu: “The federal Minister Datuk Rahman Dahlan should help find solutions and openly declare his intention instead of making insinuating statements defending the federal government and blaming everything on Sabahans to deflect blame from the government” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, in response to the Minister’s various press statements on the RCI Report.

If Rahman is defending his federal bosses and the federal government in Putrajaya, he should provide concrete proof and not make wild accusations and sweeping statements.

Move Forward and Act on the RCI Findings

Kota Kinabalu:    “There is no point in arguing about the statement issued by the Chief Secretary on the RCI Report which was obviously a misleading BN public relations exercise, but what can be done to move forward and resolve the problems identified by the RCI” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, in a press statement on the furore created by the Chief Secretary on the RCI Report.

The main issue at hand is not whether there is or there is no Project IC? or Is the federal government or Tun Mahathir involved or not?

Unsafe Sabah streets : Take it from activist Harris Ibrahim

SOMETIME in June, 2011, I was in Kota Kinabalu for meetings and some on-the-ground activism.
Yes, I had not as yet been banned by Musa Aman from entering Sabah then.

Around 1am, I ran out of cigarettes ( yes, yes, I am working on quitting, so please don’t nag me ), and went down to the hotel reception to enquire where the nearest shop was that I could get some.

The receptionist asked if I would like the hotel doorman to get them for me, as it might not be safe.

Rahman Dahlan the mouthpiece of KL...

By Ezra Haganez
KOTA KINABALU : Parti Kerjasama Rakyat (PAKAR) calls on Kota Belud MP Abdul Rahman Dahlan to stop being the mouthpiece of Malayan leaders when dealing with the issue of large presence of illegal immigrants in the state.

PKAR deputy president, Paulus Gani said in as many cases in recent years, Rahman stood out as the Sabahan tool for his political masters to legitimise whatever acts in a pursue of Umno agenda, including calling on fellow Sabahans to now just accept these illegal immigrants who have been around for 40 years".

People's Petition to Acknowledge Housewives

RCI A Cover-Up to Absolve Wrong-Doers?

Kota Kinabalu:    “It is now clear that the Royal Commission of Inquiry on Illegal Immigrants in Sabah (RCI) was nothing more than a political gimmick for GE-13 to hoodwink Sabahans to vote Umno/BN and a manipulated cover-up to absolve the federal government, its leaders and the political party referred to in the RCI from Project IC " said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, commenting on release of the much delayed and much awaited RCI Report.

Even in releasing the RCI Report, the Chief Secretary to the Government deemed it fit to play politics, and taken log stock and barrel by the government-controlled media, that “Project IC” Did Not Exist” when it was clear that the RCI specifically made a finding that Project IC probably existed.

THE COUNTRY RULED BY MOSTLY MALAYS WILL REMAIN ROTTEN AND CORRUPTED

Mariam Mokhtar

If some of you think that this nation is in a mess, then blame the Malays because they are the problem. Malays know that Malaysia is not the land of gold and honey any longer. In these difficult times, they have become more aware of their surroundings; but one other person has noticed this sea-change in the Malays.

He is former Premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad. He knows that a thinking and independent Malay is detrimental to his legacy and creation- UMNO-Baru – and to the well-being of his family’s fortunes. Today’s self-aware Malay is Mahathir’s downfall.

NASA's first Orion test flight is the first step to a human mission to Mars

By Andrew Fazekas
IF all goes as planned Thursday, NASA will test its first built-for-humans space capsule since the Apollo moon missions four decades ago. Many in the space community believe this is the first step on the long road to finally get humans to Mars and beyond.

NASA’s unmanned Orion capsule will undergo its first test flight when it launches on a four and-half hour trip that will take it twice around Earth. It will flying out to 6,000 km from the surface of our planet – the farthest a spacecraft destined to carry astronauts has gone since we last went to the moon in 1972.
