Give Proof of Killing of 35 Gunment - Jeffrey

KOTA KINABALU: STAR has challenged caretaker Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Zahid Hamidi to give proof that 35 terrorists have been killed by the Philippines security forces in Sibutu Island on nomination day.

STAR's State chairman, Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan said in a statement here that the denial by the Philippines that such a thing ever happened raises a lot of doubts in the minds of Malaysian people about the veracity of Zahid's claim.

"He seems to be quoting only Malaysian sources there is no corroborating evidence from any outside sources," Jeffrey said.

KOTA BELUD : There is a need to increase the number of Christian parliamentarians as the group was currently under-represented, claimed an independent candidate for the Kota Belud parliamentary seat here.

Kanul Gindol, 47, said there could well be less than 10 percent Christian MPs in Malaysia's Parliament, thus this had helped put Christians here vulnerable to exploitations and bullying by the larger blocks.

"A huge majority of the total 222 parliamentary seats in Parliament are already occupied by Muslim MPs as well as the Chinese leaders.

Fixed deposit: Najib is insulting the people of Sabah

KOTA KINABALU:  Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak once again insulted the people in this state by reiterating Sabah as a fixed deposit, described by Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee as insensitive to the feelings of the people in Sabah who mostly do not believe such tag.

“Najib is insensitive and the statement is an insult to the people of Sabah,” said the SAPP President when commenting on the PM’s statement who stated that the state will remain a fixed deposit for the Barisan Nasional (BN).

Minister playing politics with security matters

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) President Datuk Yong Teck Lee said it is irresponsible on the part of the Defence Minister who is trying to play politics with security matters.

He said, the minister is neither here nor there in making the allegations of the three opposition leaders involved in the Lahad Datu intrusion.

The government should take immediate action as it involves national security.

Petronas; Dr. M & Umno’s Cave Of Gold

When Dr M, the ex-Prime Minister’s son Mirzan was in financial trouble with his shipping company, Konsortium Perkapalan Berhad, Dr M asked Anwar(Finance Minister that time) to instruct Petronas via MISC to help him. However, Mirzan wanted a higher valuation price, therefore MISC had a problem. The Late Dato Yassin, MISC Managing Director, told straight to Mirzan face, "Awak ingat MISC bapak awak punya company". And Mirzan reported to his father.

MISC was only willing to pay RM 950 million but Mirzan insisted RM1.3 billion in order to cover his cost. Anwar finally agreed to his request after Hasan Merican told Anwar, “Jangan cari pasal, dia anak Boss. Anyway, MISC is not your company”.

Like Anwar, Najib is ignorant about Sabah's autonomy - STAR

PUTATAN: The assurance by the Prime Minister that Sabah's autonomy is a non-issue because its provision is still intact "under the 20-Points of the Malaysia Agreement" is unacceptable because it misses the whole point about Sabah's autonomy, said State Reform Party (STAR).

STAR's State deputy chairman, Awang Ahmad Sah, who is contesting for the Putatan parliamentary constituency under the STAR's ticket, said in statement here that the Prime Minister seems to be as ignorant as PKR advisor Anwar Ibrahim on the matter of Sabah's autonomy.
 

Federal Interference Hampering Sabah's Autonomy - STAR

KOTA KINABALU:  State Reform Party (STAR) is adamant that Sabah is in a lot of mess and its development stunted because of federal interference.

Its Sabah Deputy Chairman, Daniel John Jambun said this to refute the claim by the Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman who said that Sabah is fully governed by the State Cabinet without any federal interference.

KOTA KINABALU: Local opposition State Reform Party (STAR) has taken offence to caretaker Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak’s reference that the opposition parties were a threat to national security.

Accusing Najib of being hypocritical towards security in Sabah, STAR chief Jeffrey Kitingan reminded the prime minister that it was his administration that had ignored the pleas of a former OCPD for help in Sabah and was slow to act on the Lahad Datu incursion.

KOTA BELUD : Journalist-activist Kanul Gindol, who is standing for election in May 5 general election, has called on the Federal and State Governments to immediately release SUHAKAM Report on Impacts of 50 Years BN Rule On Natives.
We have been made to understand that the UMNO-led ruling party Barisan Nasional  suppressed the release of SUHAKAM's Report fearing its backlash ahead of the national election.

Kanul, 47, is an independent candidate using "key" as his symbol seeking to be elected as parliamentarian for Kota Belud.

KOTA KINABALU: State Reform Party (STAR) had blasted the caretaker prime minister for "his ignorance about Malaysian history."
 
Sabah STAR deputy chairman Daniel John Jambun said that he was utterly shocked by Najib's speech in Bongawan yesterday in which he said that, " Sabah made the right decision to join the Malaysian federation, which paved its path to independence on Sept 16, 1963 ."
