Pairin has forsaken the KDM community

KOTA KINABALU, July 29, 2011: The Solidariti Belia Sabah (SBS) claimed that Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan has forsaken the KadazanDusunMurut (KDM) community in order to please his UMNO political masters.

It said that the act of betrayal has left the people in a state of despair and hopelessness.

Chua: Tell the truth on IPPs

KOTA KINABALU, July 26, 2011: Member of Parliament for Tawau, Datuk Chua Soon Bui, urged the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water to give the whole picture on the energy industry and Independent Power Producers (IPP) in Malaysia as the increased on the Electricity (Power) tariffs are unfair and unjust to Malaysians especially to those in Sabah.

The facts and figures quoted are just part of the selected truth and she questioned on why the TNB/SESB are holding back the rest of the whole truth.

Of lousy Russian medical college !

Weasley | May 26, 09 4:24pm

I am a medical student from Russia as well. Best part is, I or rather we, did not choose to come here. We are all scholars sent here by either JPA or MARA.

If you were to Google "Moscow Medical Academy" it is ranked by UNESCO as the second best medical university in the world.. Do not be fooled by this because I was one who was fooled as well. Only after I landed in Moscow did I know that the "2nd best in the world" is specifically granted to the Russian medium of this medical school.

By Luke Rintod of FMT
Mystery abounds over Jeffrey Kitingan's plan to celebrate
Malaysia Day in a remote point in Sabah.
PENAMPANG: Curiosity abounds here over maverick politician ‘s latest move to hold the ‘biggest ever’ Borneo tea party in the interior of Sabah in conjunction with Malaysia Day on Sept 16.

His United Borneo Front (UBF) has scheduled a gathering in Kampung Entilibon, Telupid, some 240 kilometres from here. Entilibon is located in a remote part of Sabah.

Norway killing spree from European eye

By Cedric Daanvey

ANTWERP, Belgium:
Last Friday (July 22, 2011) we were all shocked in Europe to hear that a guy shot 90 teenagers in Norway. Everyone condemns the incidents fiercely, yet I noticed during the interviews that many of the victims were not Norwegian, as I thought before. They were many youngsters from what appears to be muslim origin!!!

Time for Change

We have had 54 years of UMNO-N rule and have things really gotten any better? The rich appear to get richer, whilst the numbers who make up the poor, are increasing. The old class system was royalty versus the serfs. Then it was the colonialists against the Malayans. Now it looks like it is the Umnoputras versus the rest.

The Umnoputras are the new elite. Even royalty depends on the largesse of those who lead UMNO-BN to get funding from the civil list. When it suits them, BN will use emotional blackmail on the Malays to say that their heartland and their birthright is being threatened.

Tengku Razaleigh & Friends

ZAID IBRAHIM

The launch of Angkatan Amanah Merdeka (Amanah) last Friday by Tengku Razaleigh was not well reported by the mainstream media. That’s not at all surprising, but it’s still regrettable. Any movement—political or otherwise—that seeks to promote unity in the country deserves support from all quarters.

We are a divided country; that is obvious for anyone to see. To know that some of our erstwhile leaders (mainly from BN) are getting together to declare “enough is enough” and target the present malaise gives hope to many Malaysians.

The man who would be PM

But we failed to take into consideration one very important point. And this one very important point is Dr Mahathir is a more seasoned politician than we gave him credit for. And the script for the final scenario was written by him: his puppet Najib became Prime Minister instead of Ku Li who wanted then to be ‘independent’, reform the government, and offer the opposition a role in the government under a Unity Government.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Why is Umno quiet about Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah and his Amanah? The answer is that they simply can’t do anything about it.

Even among Umno members there is increasing disquiet about how things are managed.

Saifuddin Abdullah’s recent ‘out-of-line’ statements and Khairy Jamaluddin’s conscientious objections are only tips of the icebergs.

To sack Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah from Umno is to
precipitate the party's own implosion.
Tengku Razaleigh is merely pointing out the realities. He is still an Umno member – so what can Umno do at the moment?

A good joke on what happened during Najib - Queen Elizabeth encounter

Malaysia PM Najib Razak asked the Queen, "Your Majesty, how do you run such an efficient
government? Are there any tips you can give to me?"

" Well," said the Queen, "the most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people."

Najib frowned, and then asked, " But how do I know the people around me are really intelligent?"

Pakatan will revamp education in Sabah, Sarawak

If elected Pakatan Rakyat has pledged to return power to
manage the education system to Sabah and Sarawak.
KOTA KINABALU: Promises are coming thick and fast from both the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) and the opposition Pakatan Rakyat in an attempt to woo the electorate in Sabah and Sarawak ahead of the 13th general election.

While the BN has opted for tried and tested but threadbare coat of incentives that have failed to deliver the goods in either state after close to 50 years since independence, the opposition coalition is committing to real change in both states.
