Peter Marajin's reply to Herbert’s outburst on 17.07.2011

Press Statement by
Mr Peter Marajin
SAPP Supreme Council Member
Kota Kinabalu, July 18, 2011

Responding to Datuk Herbert Lagadan's statement yesterday, herewith is my response to it:

On YB Herbert's insistence that the Tambatuon Dam be built:

Has he actually seen the Working Papers or experts’ Report on the proposed project? Have the affected people in Tambatuon been given the opportunity to read and study the Report. Have the YB and the Authorities or the Interested Parties who proposed the project held dialogues with the affected people in Tambatuon about the project so as to give the people the opportunity to voice out their opinions, doubts and apprehensions (if any) and for the Authorities to clear the air?

Sabah gov’t housing policy more for aliens?

By DANIEL JOHN JAMBUN

The recent announcement by Datuk Madius Tangau that the state government was forming three committees to look into three important problems in Sabah, namely citizenship and immigrants, land affairs and political appointment/power sharing clearly showed it was a belated plan by a neglectful or a failed government.

Red Rally, August 13th in Sarawak by Dr John Brian

By Dr John Brian Anthony

The Chairman of MoCS Francis Siah has confirmed that the “walk” is on. The Sarawak Government has been very vocal in opposing such walk as the “RED Rally”. The objections are many and many Sarawakian has voiced their negative opinion on the RED Rally walk. The most interesting excuse is that it is not Sarawak culture to create havoc or inconvenience others. Why is a democratic right to assemble associated with “culture” in Sarawak? There is no relevance at all or no link to one another at all. The Cabinet members in Sarawak might not have been brief properly. But if Sarawak practice democracy as window dressing but in fact employ dictatorship in reality then of course the cabinet members can say that the rally is “illegal”.

MoCS man lashes Taib & co

Aug 13 rally is on because the movement is as legit as the
Freemasons, of which the CM is a member, says Salleh Jafaruddin.
KUCHING: A state minister’s criticism of the Movement for Change Sarawak (MoCS) has provoked a tirade against Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud and his government from Salleh Jafaruddin, a former strongman of Taib’s Parti Pesaka Bumiputra Bersatu (PBB).

The outburst included an accusation that Taib was a member of the Freemason society, which many Muslims despise.

Tips on getting ready for retirement...

Hi friends,
The person who wrote  HOW TO RETIRE is a genius. He knows what he is talking about and I  agree with him fully. One needs to have a " Plan for Retirement" just like one needs to have a career plan. Otherwise it will turn out to be quite a disaster when you retire.

Two members of 756th Wimaneseli infantry battalion of the Indonesian National Military (TNI) in West Papua assaulted and threatened Yani Meage on 31 May, 2011 in the Kurima district, Yahukimo. After a quarrel between the victim and the TNI members, the soldiers threatened and attacked the victim by beating and kicking him which resulted in several injuries. The victim reported this incident with the support of a local NGO. While the deputy post commander (wadanpos) of the 756th Wimaneseli infantry battalion accepted responsibility for the violence in a statement letter, no further action has been taken against the perpetrators to-date. Impunity for military violence is widespread in West Papua.
