PETALING JAYA: Barely two days after the Bersih rally, more than 125,000 Facebook users have asked Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak to resign, blaming him for the harsh police action against Saturday’s demonstrators.

KOTA KINABALU: A 70-year-old local political activist, Fredoline Edwin Lojingki from Penampang near here, has a tersely-worded reminder to Prime Minister Najib Razak.

Saying he was following closely the drama in Kuala Lumpur last week, he could not fail but feeling amused and angered at the same time at how Najib reads and comments the Bersih rally last Saturday.

Objective Malaysians (the silent majority) cannot but be impressed with the maturity and faith of those who were willing to face arrest and police intimidation to uphold their principles.

KL police: No tear gas fired into hospital

However there are numerous eyewitness accounts, photographic
and video evidence to show that the police had infact
fired tear gas into Tung Shin Hospital.

KUALA LUMPUR:  The city police have rejected accusations that its personnel had fired tear gas into the compound of the Tung Shin Hospital on Jalan Pudu during the Bersih rally yesterday.

City acting police chief Amar Singh was adamant that his men did not target the private hospital.

PBS ‘hires’ YB Gobala to gun down PKR

KOTA BELUD: Umno’s strongest ally in Sabah, Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) has found a new recruit in former PKR senior leader N Gobalakrishnan.

The Padang Serai MP from Kedah was a surprise “guest of honour” at the Kadamaian PBS annual general meeting (AGM) here last week where he was “specially” invited to enlighten PBS delegates and members on Anwar Ibrahim and PKR.

Rapper Atama ready for arrest

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah musician-turned-activist, rapper Atama Katama, is prepared for detention, if the police chose to arrest him under the Internal Security Act (ISA).
