KOTA BELUD: A well-liked local lawyer today defended former Sabah chief minister Yong Teck Lee against accusations that Yong did nothing to try solve the problem posed by the hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants in the state.

Peter Marajin said that Yong more than anyone else had in just two years that he was in power made strenuous efforts to address the decades-old issue that he inherited.

President of the Swiss Federation, Micheline Calmy-Rey, is to
address the matter of freezing Taib's assets in Switzerland.
In a fullsome letter to the Swiss-based NGO, the Bruno Manser Foundation, the President of the Swiss Federation Micheline Calmy-Rey has revealed that she has forwarded information about Taib Mahmud’s assets in Switzerland to the regulatory body FINMA (the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority) for investigation.

Calmy-Rey (pictured left at the Davos World Economic Forum, which is hosted annually in Switzerland) is the country’s Head of State.

It is a name coined by MoCS for a plague ‘founded’ and thus named after Sarawak Chief Minister Taib Mahmud. The ‘disease’ is only synonymous with Sarawak.

Some self-appointed defenders of Islam including the chief of "1 Malaysia " have insisted that Catholics should use "Tuhan" instead of "Allah" to address the Catholic or Christian God. 

But in the national anthem, "Tuhan" (not "Allah") bless the country (...Tuhan kurniakan...).  How now ?!!!.  If Malay-Muslims are that easily confused as portrayed by some politicians, they must be thinking that Malaysia is blessed by the Catholic/Christian God, and the Muslim God "Allah" is perpetually on leave.

Come home and contribute, MoCS urges S’wakians

KUCHING – Movement for Change, Sarawak (MoCS) leader Francis Paul Siah has urged Sarawakians living in the peninsula to return and contribute to their home state.

“Together, there is so much we can do for our land of birth. Sarawak is such a big, beautiful state blessed with abundant natural resources. By right, there should be no absolute poverty in Sarawak. There is enough for all as the state’s population is less than three million,” he wrote in the MoCS blog this morning.
