Let The Good Triumph Over Evil in 2014

The good is supposed to triumph over evil, the positives over the negatives, so that the momentum of gains will move society forward in the desired direction.

Unfortunately,  2013 has been anything but positive with more oppression, rising prices of goods and services,  racial and religious extremism and insecurity.

“So let 2014 be the year for the GOOD TO TRIUMPH OVER EVIL and make the new year be a turning point in our history to overcome sufferings, poverty, injustices, oppression, prejudices, abuses of power and corruptions” said Datuk Dr Jeffrey,  President of the United Borneo Front (UBF), in his 2014 New Year message.

Stop All the Lies on BN Development – Dr. Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu: “It is sad for Malaysia that BN Ministers and BN leaders have to stoop so low to continue with lies and deception to fool ordinary Malaysians especially the rural constituencies that only the Barisan Nasional can bring about development for their constituencies” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, noting the various statements by BN leaders that the opposition cannot bring development that only BN can.

It has become standard statement for the Umno/BN leaders that only the BN can guarantee and bring about development.  This is used against the opposition and played up by the mainstream media controlled by the Umno/BN government.  For other media that are not controlled by them, the media are bullied and threatened against until the news become distorted or censored.

Decentralize Education to Improve Standards–Dr. Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu:     “The Prime Minister missed the whole point on improving education and forgot the most important stakeholder, cooperation of the federal government. The World Bank report emphasizes this fact when it stated that the centrally-controlled federal education system contributed to the poor performances of schoolchildren in Malaysia” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, responding to the posting by the PM in his facebook thatMalaysia is capable of providing the best education system for all with the cooperation of parents, educators and students themselves as well as the recently released World Bank Report on education in Malaysia.

War cry for religious freedom by indigenous Christians in Sabah

Today, we celebrate the completion of the Jubilee Year. We give thanks in our hearts to acknowledge the goodness of God for 50 years since Sabah confederated with Malaya, Sarawak and Singapore (previously) to form a new nation called Malaysia.

We rejoice by sounding the mamangkis,  the victory proclamation  by the indigenous people of Sabah in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus. To Him alone we give all the glory, and honour, and worship.  Let’s ring out the mamangkis now; the way our ancestors used to do. Again we say, let the anak negeri of Sabah ring out the mamangkis now!

Mr. PM –Prove Your Concern for Sabah Sarawak

Kota Kinabalu:  “If the Prime Minister means what he says and says what he means about his concerns for the people of Sabah and Sarawak, then Sabah and Sarawak should be exempted from the price hikes in petroleum products, sugar, electricity and the intended Goods and Services Tax (GST) and other further intended hikes”said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, in a press statement in response to the PM’s statement that government would do everything possible to minimise their impact on the people.

The PM and his advisers obviously have lost touch with the common people and the ordinary man and woman on the streets as far as the cost of living and the causes of the rising costs are concerned.

UBF forgets its carefully selected Dec 16 birthdate !

Ezra Haganez
KOTA KINABALU : Thanks to the report carried by an online news portal, freemalaysiatoday, on the failure to observe the third anniversary of much-talk United Borneo Front (UBF) on Dec 16, some in the NGO, quickly issued statement yesterday and said the anniversary was to be held last night, Dec 20, at the NGO's office in Luyang near ere.

UBF chairman, Jeffrey Kitingan, in a statement said UBF in fact carried out 5,000 Borneo tea parties (BTP) programmes within two years of existence (in contrast with FMT report of not less than 800 tea parties).

Tenom Floods: Where is the Federal Government? -Dr. Jeffrey

“The main problem is that these federal departments and agencies are all under federal control.  The fire and rescue department was only put on standby while the floods inundated many villages and left many villagers stranded” observed Dr. Jeffrey.

“Even the Sabah government failed to mobilize any relief effort with the District Office said to be put on alert only” added Dr. Jeffrey.

UBF Akan Terus Bergerak Memberi Ilmu Kepada Rakyat - Dr. Jeffrey

“United Borneo Front (UBF) akan terus melaksanakan program pendidikan untuk memberi ilmu kepada rakyat khasnya di Sabah dan Sarawak mengenai sejarah yang benar dan tepat serta hak-hak kemerdekaan Sabah dan Sarawak”, demikian dinyatakan oleh YB Dtk Dr.Jeffrey G.Kitingan sempena ulangtahun ke-3 penubuhan UBF.

YB Dtk Dr.Jeffrey G.Kitingan selaku pengerusi UBF dan ADUN Bingkor turut menjelaskan bahawa walaupun usia UBF baru genap 3 tahun tetapi pencapaiannya amatlah membanggakan.

New Comprehensive Plan Needed to Tackle Poverty – Dr. Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu: “The federal and Sabah governments failed again and was given a failing “F” grade by the United Nations which reported that poverty among children in Sabah was the highest in Malaysia where 31% of the children in the state were living in poverty.  It’s extraordinarily high compared to the national average of 9% and more than double that of the next highest Kelantan at 15% with Selangor performing the best with 2%” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in response to the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) Report “Profile of Children in Malaysia”

The report should be sending SOS warning signals to the Sabah government but unfortunately none of the Umno/BN parties and not a single Sabah Umno/BN leader have dared to say a single word.

Build Monorail Not Tram – Dr. Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu: "The Sabah government should build a new Monorail transport system in Kota Kinabalu and not just sweet-talk the people with promises of building public transport systems to alleviate the growing and snarling traffic jams especially during rush-hours but with no concrete action being taken” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in response to the Minister of Industrial Development’s statement of considering the building of trams for Kota Kinabalu during the courtesy visit by the new Counsel and Vice-Counsels from China recently.

UN Ban Ki-moon urges fostering culture of integrity and transparency

Kanul(far right) with some of the parents and schoolchildren.
KOTA BELUD : United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, called on governments and society at large to foster a culture of integrity and transparency to neutralise ill-effects of corruption such as driving up costs and malfunctioning state institutions that were seen in many places today.

"Corruption suppresses economic growth by driving up costs, and undermines the sustainable management of the environment and natural resources.  It breaches fundamental human rights, exacerbates poverty and increases inequality by diverting funds from health care, education and other essential services.

Why No Federal Flood Aid for Sabahans – Dr. Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu:“The Prime Minister should abandon and dismantle his 1-Malaysia policy and stop hoodwinking Sabahans with his hollow, rhetoric and meaningless statements appreciating Sabah and Sarawak’s support for Umno/BN in the recent GE-13” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in response to the announcement that flood victims in the East Coast of the Peninsula will be given a RM500 flood aid.

Political will of member states key to successful promotion of human rights

Human Rights Day marks the anniversary of the adoption by the General Assembly of the landmark Universal Declaration of Human Rights.  This year’s observance also marks 20 years since a bold step forward in the struggle to make rights a reality for all:  the adoption by the World Conference on Human Rights of the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action.  Drawing on the participation of more than 800 non-governmental organizations, national institutions, treaty bodies and academics, Member States adopted a far-reaching vision and created the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), thereby realizing one of the international community’s long-held dreams.

Nelson Mandela, Anti-apartheid Icon and Father of Modern South Africa, Dies

Freedom fighter, statesman, moral compass and South Africa’s symbol of the struggle against racial oppression.
That was Nelson Mandela, who emerged from prison after 27 years to lead his country out of decades of apartheid.
He died Thursday night at age 95.
His message of forgiveness, not vengeance, inspired the world after he negotiated a peaceful end to segregation and urged forgiveness for the white government that imprisoned him.

Improve Power Supply and Efficiency Before Charging Higher Tariffs – Dr. Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu: “The federal and Sabah governments along with their Ministers are failing the people in Sabah and turning a blind eye to unwarranted increases in the electricity tariffs in Sabah without solving the real problems.  It’s a gross misconduct and misgovernance on their part creating a “lose-lose-lose” scenario for Sabahans” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in response to the 16.9% increase in tariffs for Sabah and Labuan compared to 15% increase in the Peninsula commencing next year.

The governments and Ministers need to understand that as the ruling regime, they are first and foremost, holding trusteeship as well as fiduciary and social responsibilities to the people.

Implement Borneonisation, Safeguard Autonomy of High Court – Dr. Jeffrey

Kota Kinablau: “The Sabah government must ensure that the Registrar of the High Court here is headed by a Borneo native and not replaced by another Malayan and put to rest the rumours circulating over his replacement” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief commenting on the promotion of the current Registrar as a Judicial Commissioner leaving the vacancy to be filled.

What is it about the Singapore/Malaya merger and Operation Coldstore?

The Online Citizen speaks with Dr. Thum Ping Tjin, a historian on the merger of Singapore and Malaya along with Operation Coldstore which can be said to be a period of white terror of our country. He has researched extensively and have been documenting the unclassified documents that have been recently released by the British Government on the two topics.

A Very Bad Deal

This morning in Geneva, the United States and other world powers agreed to a deal with the radical mullahs in Iran over their nuclear program. What details have been released indicate it is a very bad deal for the United States and can be interpreted as rewarding Iran for its decades of radicalism and terror.

Even more important, Obama and Kerry seem to naively believe Iran can be trusted. What gives them that idea? Iran has been lying and terrorizing the west for over 30 years. Nothing has changed. In fact, the United States went down this path with North Korea and it lead directly to its getting nuclear weapons. Read this article which sheds more light on the Iran deal.

Listen to the People's Views - Dr. Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu:    “The Sabah government should listen to the views of the people affected by the proposed building of dams in Kaiduan in Penampang and Tambatuon in Kota Belud.  This is equally applicable to other projects that affect the lives and livelihood of the people” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in commenting on the on-going spat over the Kaiduan dam.

People just do not complain for no reason.  There are obvious reasons for the grievances of the people affected by the proposed Kaiduan dam in Penampang which may affect about 10 villages in the district and thousands of people living there.

Press statement by Daniel John Jambun, President of the UK based Boreneo’s Plight in Malaysia Foundation (BOPIM)

The claim by Ibrahim Ali of perkasa that appears in the Daily Express on Friday, 22nd November, of having seizeable number of christian members in sabah is nothing more than an after thought and a figment of his own imagination. If they ever exist, these so- called christian members need to have their head examined for simple reason Perkasa has been known to be very vocal and extreme in it roles in suppressing the non-muslim especially the christian on religious matters. One outrageous example is the arrogant threat to burn the Bible.

Further to their claim that perkasa fight for the rights of bumiputra is another sheer nonsense.

Saranan Kempen "Boikot Pati" Perlu Sokongan Semua Pihak Pembangkang Atau BN, PKR

Dr.Jayakumar Bidas Bajet Jabatan Perdana Menteri

Terima kasih Dato Pengerusi memberi saya peluang berbahas Badjet Jabatan Perdana Menteri untuk tahun 2014. Saya ingin membawa beberapa perkara. Pertamanya B6, Jabatan Perdana Menteri, Butiran 200 000, Jabatan Perangkaan.
Rakyat kita sedang menghadapi masalah perumahan.

Bajet Negeri Sabah 2014: Satu Pandangan

By Zainnal Ajamain

I-Link Berhad visited natives in poverty

I-Link, a non-profit organization formed to help needy families, recently visited a group of natives located in Luyang, Jalan Sharif Osman to deliver some necessities such as used clothing, rice, biscuits, flour, fruits and cooking oil. The volunteers were stunned to find natives living in poverty within a mere 5 kilometer distance from the town centre.

“It is disheartening to see how much our help, however little, are so meaningful to these villagers” says a representative of I-Link. “Kota Kinabalu may have developed to become a city on 2nd February 2000, but poverty-stricken people still live within”

Implement Verbal Support of Sabah as Far East Hub – Dr. Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu:    “The Sabah government should put its foot in its mouth and implement the proposed Plan of the Federation of Sabah Industries (FSI) (formerly Federation of Sabah Manufacturers – FSM) and turn Sabah into the “Hub of the Far East” as giving verbal support is of no use to the Plan" said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, commenting on the report that the Sabah government supports the said Plan.

“The Plan by FSI to turn Sabah into the “Hub of the Far East” or so-called “Dubai” of the Far East is realistic, achievable and very good for the long term economic development of Sabah and welfare of Sabahans based on my briefing from FSM then” added Dr. Jeffrey.

Imagine Musa Tabling a RM40 Billion 2014 Sabah Budget – Dr. Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu:     “The Chief Minister should be able to table a record-breaking RM40 billion Sabah Budget for 2014, if the calls by Malay ultras to chase out Christian Malaysians and Sabah out of the Federation are realized before year-end” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, rueing what could happen to the Sabah economy for 2014 with the CM due to present the 2014 State Budget  .

The RM40 billion budget, a ten-fold increase from the historical RM4.048 billion spent for 2013, will set Sabah’s economy into lift-off into the super league of wealthy nations.

Singapore shows mercy on poor Sabahan Yong Vui Kong

SINGAPORE: Yong Vui Kong has become the first drug trafficker on death row in Singapore to have his sentence reduced to life imprisonment and 15 strokes of the cane, under amendments made to the Misuse of Drugs act.

High court judge Justice Choo Han Teck said this morning he was satisfied that the 25-year-old Malaysian has met the requirements of being only a courier under the amended law.

EPU Report Re-Affirms Chronic Poverty in Sabah – Dr. Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu: “The recent disclosures of the poverty and abject poverty figures for Sabah, Sarawak and the nation by the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) of the PM’s Department clearly contradicts the rosy picture painted by the Sabah government on the alleviation of poverty in Sabah" said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, commenting on the poverty levels in Sabah.

According to EPU figures, Sabah had 53.5% of the abject poor households in the nation while Sarawak accounted for 11.4%.   In the poor household category, Sabah had 39.3% while Sarawak had 11.7%.

A Dangerous Man called Haris

I've just spent the last five days staying with Haris Ibrahim in Melbourne and from the moment I met him, I became aware of how dangerous he could become for the Malaysian government.

Yes, in the world of activism, I am the greatest cynic. I don't trust anyone on face value. I don't believe most of what I hear and even less of what I see.

Dr Mahathir Mohamad is ANTI-CHINESE, Pure and Simple

NOT MALAY DILEMMA, NOT CHINESE DILEMMA...
ITS ALL ABOUT MAHATHIR'S OWN DILEMMA

by
Dato Din Merican
Dr. Mahathir has yet to deal with the ghosts of his past deeds. Here no one can help him but he himself.

This is indeed tragic for a once formidable leader of our country who is advancing in years (born in 1925). He just cannot let go and now he has taken upon himself the task of interpreting history.

It is not Malay or Chinese Dilemma. It is Dr Mahathir’s.

UMNO does better than Hitler, Ghadaffi and Saddam Hussein.

Through political power they have held for over half a century UMNO has used every means at their disposal to legislate political boundaries that are advantageous to them – gerry meandering is what the opposition accuse UMNO of doing -  but for UMNO is merely a fail safe method of ensuring electoral success. UMNO also ensure that appointees to the election commission and other authorities relevant to the election process are sympathetic to the UMNO cause.

Ask Najib and Gani Patail were they pressured to convert to Christianity while in Catholic schools

KUALA LUMPUR : The editor of the Catholic Herald has one question for two of the most powerful Malay-Muslim personalities in the country: was there pressure on them to convert to Christianity just because they studied in Catholic schools?

Herald editor Rev Father Lawrence Andrew posed this question in an interview with Projek Dialog, an online social website.

Don’t Settle for Anything Less – Dr.Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu: “The MPs from Sabah and Sarawak are kingmakers and can make or break the Umno/BN federal government.  PRS and SPDP must stand firm and seek their just entitlements in the federal Cabinet and not accept crumbs posts any longer” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in response to the impending Cabinet reshuffle promised by PM Najib to announced anytime soon.

The Borneo States saved the BarisanNasional from losing power in the recent general electionand helped keep Najib as the Prime Minister by winning 47 parliamentary seats.  But it only takes 23 out of the 47 seats to change the federal government and for the PM to become the federal Opposition Leader.

Najib vows to defend use of Allah as exclusive to Muslims

Putrajaya has pledged to defend the use of the word Allah as the exclusive right of Muslims, even as the debate continued following the October 14 Court of Appeal ruling banning the use of the word in a Catholic weekly.

In his message marking the Islamic new year or Maal Hijrah today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said while Malaysia upholds the Federal Constitution and the position of Islam, it also subscribed to the concept of moderation, or Wasatiyyah, saying it is the foundation of the country’s harmony.

Federal Constitution sets the limit for ‘racism’ in Malaysia

By Joe Fernandez

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak was being his usual disingenuous self when he told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour in London on Oct 31 that the Federal Government over which he presides was “not racist at all”.

Najib was speaking to CNN on the sidelines of the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) in the British capital. https://www.facebook.com/worldislamiceconomicforumfoundation/info

Recall all ICs Issued in Sabah and Issue a new Sabah IC

Kota Kinabalu:    “There is now no other viable option available to the federal government but to recall all ICs issued in Sabahif the federal government is serious to overcome the fake ICs problem now growing menacingly in the Peninsula” said DatukDr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief on the sudden discovery and increasing number of fake Mykads issued in Sabah and used for crimes in the Peninsula.

The problem of fake MyKads and the weeding out of illegal holders of MyKads can be resolved easily if the federal government is serious to tackle the problem.

Adun Kadamaian Jeremmy Malajad keluar parti

Charge the Culprits Responsible for Issuing Fake ICs

Kota Kinabalu:    “The Prime Minister, Home Minister, National Registration Department (NRD) and the Police are complicit and as guilty as the foreigners holding fake MyKads if they do not investigate further and charge the culprits responsible for issuing the fake Mykads” said DatukDr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief on the sudden discovery and increasing number of fake Mykads.

How Can MyKads Issued by NRD be Fakes? – Dr. Jeffrey

Photo credit to 1 Suara Sabah
Kota Kinabalu:   “The federal government should admit that there is now a serious problem of identifying who is a genuine Malaysian and who is not becuase of the rampant unlawful issuance of MyKads to foreigners” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in response to the arrest of 20 security guards with fake Mykads.

The abuses of the National Registration Department (NRD) facilities by certain political group to serve their political agenda has now reached national proportions that will eventually destroy this nation if left unresolved.

Two Sabah PKR assemblymen to defect

MATUNGGONG (Sabah): Two PKR assemblymen are set to officially announce quitting the party on November 7 at a function to be held in this sleepy town of Matunggong, in the north of Sabah.

The two are Matunggong assemblyman, Jelani Hamdan, and Kadamaian representative Jeremmy Ukoh Malajad.

Both are fresh faces in the 60-member Sabah state legislative assembly, elected in the recent general election in May this year.

Stamp Out Imported Malayan Hegemony

Kota Kinablau: “The Sabah government must assert its authority and stamp out any attempt to impose imported Malayan hegemony over Sabah and her citizens” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in voicing his concerns over the sudden and unusual transfer of 7 non-Malay Sessions judges/magistrates to the Peninsular.

It is highly unusual that 7 Borneo native non-Muslim judges and magistrates are transferred in one go.  This transfer and consequential replacements with Malayans raise doubts and questions over the motives of the federal leaders in their treatment of Sabahans/Sarawakians.

PSM BUDGET ANALYSIS 2014

Once again the much anticipated budget presentation by the prime Minister in the parliament is over, and the majority of Malaysians are still wondering how is it going to uplift their livelihood.  Prior to the presentation, the media ran a ‘wish list’ hype throughout the week getting Malaysians from various sectors of society to share on what they would like to see in the budget. But everyone knows that their wish remains a dream and the budget is nothing else but a list of hand outs.

Budget 2014 A Huge Disappointment From Sabah Perspective – Dr. Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu:    “The Budget 2014 must have been a huge disappointment to Tan Sri Pairin, PBS and many others in Sabah and clearly demonstrates the continuing mindset of the Prime Minister and his federal government” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in commenting on the Budget announcement.

The PM himself had whipped up expectations of Sabahans especially the PBS delegates at their general assembly by asking Sabahans to wait for Friday’s Budget announcement.

Allah bermaksud tuhan, semua jenis tuhan, kata sarjana agama

UthayaKumar`s Letter To PM & Home Minister

Uthayakumar writes from Kajang Prison
OCTOBER 24, 2013
I have and am being tortured with mala fide at the most feared and dreaded closed isolation lock-up (tutup) of Kajang Prison all in for 27 days and to continue indefinitely. I am locked-up under solitary confinement alone, 24 hours a day not seeing sunlight or fresh air [in a] dimly lit cell and [with] just one set of prison pants and shirt in an empty lock-up.
Also denied reading and writing materials and even warm water to drink. Drinking the contaminated tap water caused me to fall ill. Also denied the 15 minutes weekly phone calls to lawyers and family, denied the monthly family visit and lawyers’ visit.

Ezra Haganez

PENAMPANG : "Jangan main api".

The roots of poverty in Sabah, Sarawak in Malaysia exposed!

Daniel John JambunPAPER Without much further ado, I will delve immediately into the subject proper of my Paper in conjunction with the forthcoming National Budget 2014 which will be unveiled by the Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak who is also the Finance Minister. Please bear with me. I will keep my address as brief as possible so that we may all ponder on the essential points that I am trying to make and which must be taken into consideration by the Federal Government.
I have nine major aspects to put before you as Food for Thought in view of the forthcoming National Budget 2014 and you may want to deliberate on them and post your comments or ask me questions by email. Email: danieljjambun@gmail.com
As many people know, the World Bank confirmed in Dec 2010 in Kota Kinabalu that Sabah and Sarawak had achieved the dubious distinction of bring the poorest and second poorest states in Malaysia. This is a figure derived at by using the figures of the Economic Planning Units of the Sabah and Sarawak Governments and the Economic Planning Unit in Putrajaya.

Sulu Sultan Kiram, 75, dies of organ failure

MANILA, Philippines – Sultan Jamalul Kiram III died on Sunday, his daughter told Radyo Inquirer 990AM.

Princess Jacel Kiram said the 75-year old heir of the Sulu sultanate died of multiple organ failure at the Philippine Heart Center at 4:42 a.m. on Sunday.

She said Kiram, who made headlines in February after his men clashed with Malaysian forces in a bid to reclaim Sabah, has long been suffering from kidney problems. He has been confined in the said hospital since Thursday.

A Romp Through The Garden Of Eden - And Other Religious Misconceptions

By Capt Dr George Kurka
People are so naive. Who in their right mind can possibly believe that the earth began with two Hebrew speaking adults and a talking snake? Come on folks get real. And how about Adam who was standing next to a naked woman and was tempted by a piece of fruit. I've been around a long time and I don't know a single man, who given the choice, would choose an apple over a naked woman, unless he was gay. But that refutes the Christian movement's belief that homosexuality is evil.

The Malaysian ‘Allah’ verdict cuts deeper than what is being argued

Since the eve of a universally revered observation of the Hari Raya Haji – in commemoration of Abraham’s test of faith and fidelity and in whose ancestry is also rooted several traditions that are also shared by the Abrahamic religions, Malaysia has been drowned in heated debates, arguments, flow of emotions and of course a media spotlights globally.

This 'Allah' verdict is certainly storm in a tea cup. It has blown a deep gorge between west and east Malaysia apart from setting a dangerous precedent in the world of tomorrow.

Allah Issue: Beginning of the End of Malaysia Unless …- Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu:  “It‘s not the Court of Appeal ruling but the non-action and continued policies of the Umno/BN ruling regime that will cause the ultimate demise and break-up of Malaysia unless the Prime Minister and Umno/BN show a genuine and sincere all-encompassing transformation of government and politics of inclusiveness and reconciliation” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in response to the Court decision to ban the TheHerald from referring and using “Allah”.

Word ‘Allah’ is not exclusive to Islam

Like the history of most religions, the history of Islam is complex and much debated. But there are a few elements that are not in dispute, chief among them that the God of the Quran is the same as the God of the Bible and of the Torah before it. The mission of Islam, as expressed in the Quran, is not to bring a new faith, but to update the messages of the monotheistic faiths before it.

Govt wins appeal, Herald banned from using word 'Allah' over public safety

PUTRAJAYA: Catholic weekly The Herald will not be allowed to use the word "Allah" to refer to the Christian God, ruled the Court of Appeal.
The panel, chaired by Justice Mohamed Apandi Ali, overturned a High Court decision and unanimously ruled Monday in favour of the Government's appeal, saying that the minister had not acted in any way that required a judicial review.

Why I had to leave Malaysia

London Lookout
“Lima tiga pound,” says the souvenir vendor in busy Oxford Street London. That many Malaysians throng to England’s capital.

The bargain hunters are mainly tourists travelling in groups or two in one holiday makers who’ve either just settled or visited their children studying here.

You can clearly tell them apart from the upper crusts…and the newly minted Malaysian elites who waltz into the city. The upper crusts, including seasoned business classes, will not be posing in front Selfridges or Harrods for ‘say cheese’ pictures. That’s reserved for the majority of the citizenry…as well as benefactors of ill-gotten wealth who simply cannot hide their simple natures, even in their posh new lifestyles.

Be Proud and Stand United as Sabahans- Dr. Jeffrey

Sabahans are already being divided into Muslims and non-Muslims and being pitted against one another by the ruling Umno/BN government. No matter how or what the Chief Minister or the federal authorities denies it, it does not mean that the secret and covert operations to Malaynize and Islamize the natives of Sabah does not exist.  It exists in reality to the extent natives are recorded as Muslims and Malays in their Mykads although they are not and the authorities make it difficult to rectify such “mistakes”.

In reality, Sabah has always been peaceful and harmonious with diverse multi-ethnic and multi-religious groups to the extent in many families, they would have multi-religious members.

Legal and Moral Duty to RegainSabah’s Oil- Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu:  “It is now clear as daylight that it’s the legal duty and moral obligation of the Sabah government and every Sabah MP to take immediate steps and by all available means to regain Sabah’s oil ownership” said DatukDr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief after attending the Public Debate between Tan Sri Harris Salleh and Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee held at the Sabah Gold and Country Club on Friday.

Harris-Yong ‘non-debate’ stormy affair

By Joe Fernandez

If there are any lessons that emerged from a “non-debate”, of sorts, between two former Chief Ministers of Sabah on a cold rainy Fri evening in Kota Kinabalu, it was this: “that ignorance is bliss in matters of law, Parliament and the Constitution and that a little knowledge is dangerous”; that even the best subject matter expert opinion would have little chance against a wall of ignorance acting in perhaps good faith and with little else to go on.

Water remain a big issue on World Habitat Day in Sabah

By Ezra Haganez

KOTA BELUD : Supply of treated piped water remains one of the biggest issues faced by many Sabahans, 50 years after it freed itself from the clutches of British colonialism and enjoyed "prosperity" within a federation of states called Malaysia.

Empower Sabah Natives, Implement Article 41 Sabah Constitution - Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu:  “The federal and Sabah governments are trampling the Sabah Constitution and not honouring native rights and privileges by wrongly enforcing bumiputra policies in Sabah” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, in response to announcements by the DPM and Chief Minister on Sabah bumiputra empowerment.

Not all bumiputra are natives although all natives are necessarily bumiputra.  Similarly, not all Malays are natives.  However, non-Muslim bumiputra in Sabah lose everything when the governments divide the Sabah and Sarawak bumiputra into “bumiputra Islam” and “bumiputra bukan Islam” and the former get better treatment and privileges compared to the latter.

Empower Education Under Sabah Ministry of Education - Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu: “In conjunction with the DPM cum Minister of Education’svisit to Sabah, I urge him to return and re-empower the EducationDepartment under Sabah’s own Ministry of Education so as to enable the Sabah government to better manage and plan for Sabah’s education and manpower needs to suit the local circumstances”said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, noting that the DPM cum Minister of Education will be attending a briefing on the development of critical projects under the Education Ministry and a special meeting with Sabah Zone Teacher's Training Institutions during his visit here.

The Umno-Sulu Sultanate Connection

Following several political blogs' publication of his business card, UMNO Youth exco member Lokman Noor Adam today admitted his links to the Sulu sultanate, which has been at the centre of the ongoing violence in the east coast of Sabah.

But Lokman defended his designation as "Advisor to The Crown", saying he was elected to the role by "the real Sulu Sultan".

Australia, under new PM, in cahoot with KL on human right issues?

Australia's Sept. 20 refusal to grant the Malaysian political activist and lawyer Haris Ibrahim a temporary visa may indicate a new attitude on the part of the Abbott government to go out of its way to placate Southeast Asian governments on human rights and civil liberties in the interests of government-to-government relationships.

Haris was turned down for a visa by the Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur although he was

RM2 Billion Road Repairs Not Just Visit- Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu:     “The DPM is most welcome to visit Sabah anytime but he should bring along RM2 billion for the badly needed road repairs in Sabah when visiting officially”said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, when asked about the DPM’s 2-day visit starting Monday.

Recently, many reports have been said about the poor road conditions in various parts of Sabah and the lack of federal funding for these road repairs and maintenance.

Implement Malaysia Agreement Not Just Review - Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu:    “The call for a review of the safeguards for Sabah and Sarawak and their status as equal partners to Malaya by Tengku Razaleigh or more affectionally known as Ku Li needs to be brought up in Parliament and must be fully supported by all the MPs from Sabah and Sarawak, if it is to succeed ” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in commenting on Ku Li’s call to review the status of Sabah and Sarawak in Malaysia.

Recognise Sabah, Sarawak as equals

A potential political war may come to boil if federal
government keeps ignoring calls to recognise the
Borneo states as equal on all platforms
PETALING JAYA: Tension in Sabah and Sarawak will come to a head as long as Malaysians continue to equate the two as just another state of Malaysia, warned veteran Umno leader Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah.

Tengku Razaleigh, popularly known as Ku Li, said it was time Sabah and Sarawak recognized and treated as equal partners in Malaysia.

“There is resentment and dissatisfaction with Sabah and Sarawak being treated as and equated to just another state of Malaysia… It had been simmering since the 1980s but it never resurfaces, not as a formal articulation anyway.

SAMM: Anak Nazri beli rumah RM7juta?

PETALING JAYA: NGO Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) mahu Menteri Pelancongan dan Kebudayaan Datuk Seri Mohamad Nazri Abdul Aziz menjelaskan dakwaan skandal pembelian banglo mewah bernilai RM7.2 juta.

Re-establish State Education Policy Under State Control - Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu: “The Sabah government should take the opportunity to review the State Education Policy and re-establish it under state control including providing better financial support of Chinese schools” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief.

The Bingkor assemblyman was asked to comment on the decision by the Sarawak government to build more technical schools under its control as well as the report of the philanthropist, Teo Han Tong, who had fulfilled a RM1 to RM1 donation pledge, and the support of the local Chinese community in funding the new RM1.4 million school building at the 84-year old SJK Kuok Ming school in Tawau.

Tanduo Intrusion Not Claim for Sabah Rights but Failure to Provide Security - Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu: “The Defence Minister’s attempt and excuse to link the recent Tanduo intrusion with the growing internal state nationalism to seek the restoration of State rights in Sabah as well as in Sarawak is a weak and feeble attempt to deflect from the failure of the federal government and its leaders to fulfil the promises and failure to provide the security to Sabah since 1963” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in a follow-up statement released today.

The promises of the then Malayan leaders to provide security against the twin threats from Philippines and Indonesia as well as development were the fundamental basis to persuade and induce Sabah and Sarawak to form Malaysia in 1963.

The Mindanao unrest and Sabah illegals

Analysts say with fresh armed clashes in Mindanao,
it is unlikely Malaysia would deport Filipinos
illegal immigrants back to the areas.
By Luke Rintod of FMT
One of the repercussions of the fresh unrest in the southern Philippines would be the derailing of Malaysia’s effort to mount a sweeping operation to nab illegal immigrants in Sabah as part of its nationwide exercise.

The operation in Sabah will not be easy. Sabah has a huge population of Filipino and Indonesian immigrants hiding under various clever masquerades.

The locals in Sabah, especially the Kadazandusun and Chinese, who have been enraged for too long over this perennial issue, handed Barisan Nasional half a dozen defeats in the two communities’ areas in the recent general election.

What harm can Chin Peng’s ashes do?

PETALING JAYA: Despite his death a week ago, former Communist Party Malaya (CPM) leader Chin Peng continues to stir controversy – this time in MCA.

MCA Publicity Bureau chairman Heng Seai Kie today said the ashes of Chin Peng should be allowed to be brought home, contrary to party president Dr Chua Soi Lek’s statement on Tuesday that Chin was a “personality who undermined national security for decades”.

Chua had not directly dismissed Chin Peng’s return, but acknowledged the call by former special branch deputy director Yuen Yuet Leng and had said: “I don’t have (any reasons). He (Yuen) may has his information which is not made available to me.”

The madam asks him to be seated and sends over a young lady to entertain the client. They sit and talk, frolic a little, giggle a bit, drink a bit, and she sits on his lap. He whispers in her ear and she gasps and runs away!

Seeing this, the madam sends over a more experienced lady to entertain the gentleman. They sit and talk, frolic a little, giggle a bit, drink a bit, and she sits on his lap. He whispers in her ear and she screams, "No!" and walks away quickly.
