SARAWAK SOVEREIGNTY MOVEMENT, new group to help regain Sarawak's glory

By Lina Soo
KUCHING: Malaysia was based on a big lie aka invasion and takeover bogeyman to scare the innocents in Brunei, Sabah & Sarawak  to agree to form Malaysia.

Sabah & Sarawak  leaders unlike Brunei sultan were so naive! Brunei saw through the Malayan agenda. Neither Brunei nor S'pore experienced the invasion Sabah & Sarawak  had- Malayan invasion followed by illegals and Sulus.

Donald Stephens had one grand chance to be a real hero by insisting on reviewing MA63 in 1965 when the Malaysia concept was killed off but he was meekly subdued. Of course we don't know what bribe or threat UMNO used.

I weep to think of this lie. "Sabah dan Sarawak mencapai kemerdekaan mereka melalui Malaysia".

Sabah & Sarawak  were independent nations before 16 Sept 1963 and were cheated to give up their independence in exchange for a PONZI SCHEME!

How can you achieve independence by being swallowed up in an artificially created country and ruled by a new master?

And this myth has been perpetuated in UMNO doctored history on par with the Japanese penchant for same!

UMNO cannot afford to teach the truth. The truth will kill Malaysia.

I say crooks cannot think straight!

It is our duty and mission that we expose all this for the world to see. We may not bring instant freedom to Sabah & Sarawak but we can build on the foundations of the patriots who have passed silently into history.

  2. It is time that Sabah and sarawak leaders work together to form a fomidable pressure groups to achieve whatever their lost rights were. They could not rely on others to do it for them, espcially the Christian natives in both States they must seek a union to really plan and plant something. be courageous my brothers and sisters back home. We have been monitoring you but we are ashamed of your current leaders. They dont know they are perpetuating the colonial masters time in the two great States. We pity you people, o meek people of Borneo. Rise now and speak for your self. Vote out all the proxies and stooges of the colonial Malaya!

  3. Really? Are these Sarawakians serious ? Well, let us see how far could they go to claim their rights. From what i read, Sarawakian natives are in a mess by Taib regime, which was supported by Ibans and other Dayaks own leaders. How pity the natives in this part of the world too.. Time for change folks ..

    2. Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud has called on all Sarawakians to preserve Sept 16 as a valuable heritage.

He said behind Sept 16, 1963 was planted the dream of the elders and past leaders including the first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman to make Malaysia a sovereign, strong and developed nation.

    3. The Chief Minister said on the day when Sarawak became a member of Malaysia, it had indeed achieved the biggest victory and success. He said as a member of Malaysia, Sarawak had managed to develop every corner of the state bit by bit.

  5. COMMENT on Sarawak Report on Taib's corruption
by Sarawakians Hornbill Unleashed• 18 hours ago

MALAYSIA IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF CORRUPTION & POVERTY

TAIB DRAGS DOWN HIS OWN REPUTATION & THOSE ASSOCIATED WITH HIM- NOT SARAWAK.

BUT MALAYSIA IS AT THE TOP RUNG OF THE BAD REPUTATION LADDER! WHY?

The creation and governance of a corrupt UMNO government in Malaysia for 50 years allowed Taib to thrive after he and his uncle traded Sarawak oil for UMNO non- interference with their dictatorial rule and free hand to plunder our country Sarawak.

He is killing the people alright- killing them as self reliant close knit communities, killing their culture by splitting up their communities and killing the identity as people of various tribes. It is called "genocide".

Then there is the disappearance of Bruno Manser in Sarawak, mysterious deaths of Penan and other Dayak leaders, Ross Boyert, land rights fighters being attacked, thousands made homeless because of land grabs, health issues from industrial pollution etc..

UMNO watches and protects him while UMNO also has a free hand to syphon out our oil to develop Malaya.

Taib's corruption is a reflection of the whole corrupt system which Malaysia really is as country.

First Malaysia creation was based on lies and sophistry about the federation providing "security and prosperity" and invasion scare bogeyman.

Then Malaysia became the root cause of Sarawak and Sabah people's poverty, miseries and sufferings for 50 years because of the institutionalized corruption and apartheid.

It is no wonder that a local movement called Sarawak Sovereignty Movement has arisen to address the failure of Malaysia as an experiment and to demand our independence rights.

Other movements like the SSKM (Sabah Sarawak Keluar Malaysia) do not see the point of remaining in Malaysia since it is plain for all to see that Sabah and Sarawak with more resources than Brunei and Singapore can be far better off like them outside Malaysia.

The UMNO regime has argued that the people Sabah and Sarawak had agreed to form Malaysia. This is one of the lies and myths promoted by the UMNO doctored history. It can easily be dismissed by the fact that there was no referendum to allow the people to vote "yes" or "no" on the issue.

But if we accept this argument as accurate then Sabah and Sarawak are surely free to separate from Malaysia just like Singapore.

The growing outrage over Taib's corruption should not just stop with him but also focus on his masters across the S.China Sea who ravenously suck out the lifeblood of our rich country.

But that is a good start- thanks to Sarawak Report.

Thanks again. Keep up the good work.

The coalition is also committed to providing more income-generating opportunities within indigenous communities and increasing the intake of indigenous youth into tertiary and vocational education. In addition, the BN promises to set up special courts with the same status as the High Court under the present justice system to deal specifically with native customary rights issues.
