Sabahans, Stand Up For Your Rights

Kota Kinabalu: “The people of Sabah should stand up for their rights and for Sabah’s rights by rejecting internal colonialism practiced by Umno/BN in this election” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, at a political rally in Kg.Sunsuron, Tambunan, yesterday.

“If you do not stand up for your rights you will not only lose what you have but your dignity as well.  Look at Sabah (for example) an independent country rich with natural resources such as oil, gas and oil palm but reduced to being the poorest, subservient , dependent 12th State of Malaya because our leaders failed to stand up and defend our State rights.”
We can no longer afford to repeat our past mistakes lest we lose everything.

There is nothing wrong to claim back what is ours.   We are not claiming any additional rights or taking any rights away from any other State.

If we do not claim what belongs to us, no one else will do it for us.  We have to take up that responsibility.  Neither BN/UMNO nor PR/PKR will do it for us because their agenda is not our agenda.  Their priorities are not our priority.

Remember, “knock and the door shall be opened; ask and you shall get; look and you shall find…”

“Look at this election as an opportunity to put things right – to correct what is wrong, to restore what has been lost by Sabah and Sabahans…” added Dr. Jeffrey.

You may not be able to change the past but you can change the future by your action today.  The future is in your hands.

Do you want more PTIs?  Do you want BN to continue stealing our revenues and our oil?  Do you really want to be UMNO’s “Fixed Deposit”?  asked Dr. Jeffrey to the boisterous crowd who answered with a resounding “NO” each time and clamouring for more.

If not, then vote for STAR and save Sabah! said Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan and the crowd thundered with a resounding “YES”.

  1. MALAYSIAKINI REPORT

    Keningau

Joseph Pairin Kitingan (BN) vs Jeffrey Kitingan (Star) vs Stephen Sandor (PKR)

A battle between brothers is bound to make headlines, but this time, Star president Jeffrey Kitingan has an even chance of beating his older brother.

It would mean a serious upset if Pairin - who is the Kadazandusun Murut paramount leader - is toppled, but the villages in the interior areas appear taken by Jeffrey's 'Sabah for Sabahans' cry.

Campaigners claim that villages where Jeffrey (right) was not allowed to enter in 2008 are now hosts for his ceramah.

Going by the flags put up by villagers in their own front yards, Jeffrey's star might shine brighter come May 5.

  2. Janji serta laungan pembangkang untuk memberikan kuasa autonomi kepada Sabah sekiranya mereka menawan Putrajaya hanyalah sekadar satu fantasi selain ianya satu tindakan bermain api. Ahli Parlimen Kota Belud, Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan berkata taktik berkenaan cukup bahaya kerana ianya menaikkan semangat kenegerian dan akan menyebabkan negeri bersengketa dengan kerajaan persekutuan.

    ReplyDelete

  11. Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, the Barisan Nasional (BN) incumbent for Keningau and Tambunan, urged the people of Sabah and Sarawak not to allow themselves to be influenced by the opposition’s “Borneo Agenda versus Malaya Agenda” ploy into thinking Sabah has no autonomy and not in charge of its own future.

    ReplyDelete
  12. He said the opposition are getting more desperate in their attempt to gain political power and have resorted to pitting the Borneo states against Peninsular Malaysia, hoping to take advantage of the strong sentiment they are trying to create from it.

    ReplyDelete
  13. The caretaker Deputy Chief Minister said Sabah has its own privileges as a member of the Federation of Malaysia, with the power to govern the state lying in the hands of its own people. Contrary to what the opposition have been claiming, he said Sabah is an autonomous state and decides its future.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Every decision affecting the state and its people are done freely by the State Cabinet, whose members are the representatives elected by the people, Pairin said. “As such, the people must not let themselves be played by the opposition the Borneo Agenda and Malaya Agenda.

    ReplyDelete
  15. “We have autonomy, we have our own cabinet led by our chief minister, we have our own ministers, assistant ministers. Sarawak too has the same privilege, only our two states have this,” he said.

    ReplyDelete
  16. “One thing for sure, we in Sabah had made a decision in the past. We have been committed in administrating our own state. We make our own decisions through our own Cabinet and the future of our people is in our own hands,” he said when officiating at the closing of Karaoke Competition and Prize Presentation in conjunction with the Tambunan Tataba Unity Wave Sports Carnival at Pisompuruan Square here.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Pairin admitted there were still a lot that had to be done by the government in meeting the needs and expectations of the people in Sabah. But the government realized this fact and understood clearly that bringing progress and satisfying the aspiration of the people was a continuous commitment, he said.

    ReplyDelete
  18. In this regard, he said the government had continuously set in place proactive and forward looking programmes to ensure a better future for Sabah, in addition to addressing the current needs and issues faced by its people. “There are a lot more things that the people need us to do, many more need to be explored. This is a continuous process included in the government agenda.

    ReplyDelete
  19. “The Government Transformation Programme introduced by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is part of this agendas, and it has significantly benefited the people. Let us all give undivided support to this commitment of BN Government in ensuring a better future for the people,” he said, calling for the people to retain BN and allow it to continue with its development programmes for the state and country.

  20. VOTE TO FREE SABAH FROM MALAYAN COLONIAL CHAINS!

OVER 50 YEARS BNUMNO TRANSFORMED RESOURCE RICH SABAH INTO A POVERTY BASKET CASE RIFED WITH CORRUPT POLITICIANS WHO CAUGHT THE MALAYAN VIRUS.

WOULD YOU BELIEVE THIS LIAR AND ALLEGED MURDERER HAUNTED BY THE MONGOLIAN LADY?????

Najib's father Razak was the villain who did everything to chain Sabah Sarawak to Malaya after Singapore left and made them Malayan colonies.

1965-1969 Sarawak CM Ningkan sacked and replaced by "yes men" including the criminal family Rahman Yakub and nephew Taob who surpassed his criminal betrayer of Sarawak to Malayan control. Sabah CM sacked and expelled to Australia.

They were the last of the Borneo 1960s strongmen. For over 50 years Sabah and Sarawak were robbed of their wealth to develop Malaya and made UMNO members and cronies super rich.

UNDER Najib's and all the Malayans especially deadbeat Mahathir's watch, UMNO facilitated the human wave invasion of Sabah Sarawak and the Sulu invasion of 2013. Malaysia was formed on the deceitful justification of "security and prosperity".

Why is Mahathir a "deadbeat"- He and his family got into RM billion debts and forced Sabah and Sarawak top bail them out!

He used GLCs to plunder the 2 colonies.

Sabahans and Sarawakians have it up to their necks with BNUMNO.

So folks tomorrow is one and only chance to strike down BNUMNO!

    VOTE NO, NO, NO BNUMNO!

KICK THE PARASITIC BUMS OUT OF SABAH!

    ReplyDelete

Bak kata sebuah lagu Jangan Janji Tinggl Janji.

  71. MUSA AMAN has the distinction of being the longest serving Chief Minister of the state of Sabah. He firstly assumed this responsibility in March 27th 2003. Thereafter, he has had sweeping victories in two successive Assembly Elections held in 2004 and March 2008.

    ReplyDelete
  72. He has also won successive by-elections for Barisan National, example, the Batu Sapi Parliamentary elections where Taiko Yong Teck Lee the President of SAPP was trashed badly and so was PKR’s Ansari Abdullah.

  73. The victory of 2008 12th General Elections where he won 59 seats out of the total 60 seats is a reaffirmation of the people’s faith in his leadership, statesmanship and governance which he displayed as Chief Minister from 2003.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Widely regarded as a youthful and energetic, innovative and a determined leader, he has successfully communicated his vision to 3 million people of Sabah and has been able to instill a sense of confidence in what they have and a hope for a golden tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  75. An astute politician, a skilled orator and a deft negotiator, Musa Aman has earned the love and affection of the people from kampongs, towns and city alike which makes him a rare leader of the masses.

    ReplyDelete
  76. When he became the Chief Minister of Sabah for the first time in March 27th 2003, he already had experience in banking and business earlier, besides, he was Minister of Finance since March 27, 2001 in Tan Sri Chong Kah Kiat’s cabinet.

    ReplyDelete
  77. His utmost commitment and dedication have rendered him as an outstanding administrator and after being elected for the 2nd term, in March 2008, as chief minister, the Sabah Chinese Chamber of Commerce had a lot of good words to say about Musa Aman and the prudent ways he handle the state’s finance, a rare comment from Chinese business community.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Moreover, the mood of the people was despondent. The biggest challenge was to resurrect the spirits and the economy, revive the livelihoods and to construct the infrastructure. However Musa Aman, a master strategist enriched by national and international exposure and experience, decided to take the bull by its horns and turned an adversity into an opportunity.

    ReplyDelete
  79. He re-oriented and re-organized government’s administrative structure, embarked upon a massive exercise for construction of infrastructure, recreation of the business environment and rejuvenation of the traditional entrepreneurial spirit of Sabah, putting Sabah back on the road to progress and prosperity.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Even when the construction of infrastructure was going on, Musa Aman did not lose sight of the bigger picture. He emphasized on all-inclusive and uniform development of all communities and districts. In the very first year of his tenure, he came out with an integrated strategy for overall development of the State which I call the EIGHT PILLARS:
    1) Rural Development and Poverty Eradication
    2) Quality and coverage in Education
    3) Development of Human Resources
    4) Power of energy Resources
    5) Good Forest and Environmental Governance
    6) Sustainable Development
    7) Good Governance
    8) Security and well being of people.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Sabah has registered a GDP growth of over 7% over past five years which is one of the highest growth rate among all the states in Malaysia. The efforts of Musa’s government have resulted into metamorphosis of a revenue deficit state into a revenue surplus state with reserves of 2.32 billion ringgit . Last year alone, the state’s export value stood at RM49.4 billion with trade surplus of RM16.6 billion.

    ReplyDelete
