ReplyDeleteTindakan Pas memainkan semula isu negara Islam dalam usaha menarik sokongan pengundi Melayu, menyebabkan semakin ramai pemimpin DAP tampil membantah parti tersebut.
ReplyDeleteSelepas mendapat kritikan daripada pemimpin tertinggi DAP, ketua-ketua cawangan parti itu turut menyertai bantahan tersebut.Naib Pengerusi Cawangan DAP Taman Ehsan, L.P. Selvam pula berkata, semua calon Pas perlu ditolak kerana dikhuatiri akan menyekat kebebasan bukan Islam di negara ini.

Newly-appointed Sabah Special Functions Minister Datuk Teo Chee Kang has been tasked to handle matters affecting the Chinese community.

DeleteChief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said Teo would also be overseeing the state Economic Planning Unit (EPU).
"Part of his duties would be to see what more has to be done to ensure continued support from the (Chinese) community for Barisan Nasional," Musa said after chairing the first cabinet meeting following the 13th general election.
DeleteSabah Barisan chartered losses in Chinese majority areas, notably the Kota Kinabalu state and Sandakan parliamentary seats.
DeleteAs the Minister in charge of the state EPU, Teo would be meeting senior civil servants to chart Sabah's future development programmes, oversee their implementation and ensure satisfactory results, Musa said.
DeleteAt the cabinet meeting earlier, Musa said he reminded the ministers that it was now to get down to work to fulfill Barisan's promises to the people.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman wants members of the newly-appointed Sabah Cabinet to work as a strong team to ensure all plans are implemented efficiently and according to projected schedule.

DeleteCommitment, cooperation and coordination must continue to improve and the attitude of “this is not under my purview or it is not my problem” must be discarded, Musa said, adding that even though it is not under their purview, they must be proactive and find ways to assist in resolving issues that are referred to them.
“As a considerate government which has the rakyat’s interest at heart, we must always be responsive and attentive as well as take prompt action to resolve problems the rakyat are facing whether in their respective constituencies or those that are referred to their ministries,” he said.
DeleteMusa also reminded them that as administrators, the government required high commitment and support from all the civil servants as the implementing agency and department, as the effectiveness and success of all development policies and agendas depended largely on the state dedication as well as cooperation of state and federal civil servants.

Delete“The time for politics and polemics is over; it is time for us to move forward, work, serve and do our best for the people’s prosperity as well the development of the state,” he said.
Musa also assured electorates in opposition-held areas that the BN government is a responsible as well as committed one so it will continue to carry out the development projects planned. “On-going projects will continue because we are the BN government which is responsible to the rakyat, not the opposition. We work for the rakyat,” he said.
