MNLF chairman warns Malaysian authorities that if they killthe leader in Lahad Datu standoff, it would trigger a war against the Tausugs |
MANILA – Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) chairman Nur Misuari on Tuesday warned Malaysia against killing the Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III brother, Rajah Mudah Agbimuddin Kiram, and his men in Sabah as doing so would be tantamount to a declaration of war against the Tausugs and the former separatist group.
Speaking to reporters, Misuari advised Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak: “Once you do that, that will be tantamount to declaration of war against our people and the Moro National Liberation Front. It is our sacred duty to protect our people.
“Every drop of their blood is sacred to us,” Misuari added.
The MNLF founding leader, who signed a peace agreement with the Ramos government in 1997, also rejected as “wild speculation” any insinuation that he was behind the moves taken by the followers of Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III in Sabah, www.abs-cbnnews.com reported.
“These are all wild speculations. In the first place I have not implored anyone to make this venture. I cannot, you know, preempt the role of the sultan,” he told abs-cbnnews.com.
“To finance is out of the question ,of course. If indeed, I am that well off, why should I finance the adventure of the sultan’s men? Only about 200 people, like that. That’s not my way of doing things,” he added.
Misuari said that as leader of the MNLF, he was able to mobilize 4,000 fighters in the hunt for the bandit Abu Sayyaf who held hostage several foreigners in Mindanao.
He said he deployed a larger force during the Sipadan hostage-taking incident in April 2000 after being tapped by then President Joseph Estrada.
“So, for anyone to speculate that I have anything to do with this is a kind of madness. It is very irresponsible for anybody to implicate me in this,” he said.
The MNLF leader said he is very much concerned about the fate of Raja Muda Kiram and his men after they were reportedly bombed by Malaysian fighter jets Tuesday morning.
HAHAHA WHAT AN IRONY!
ReplyDeleteMNLF TRAINED & SPONSORED BY UMNO FOR 50 YEARS- NOW TURNS AROUND A BITE IT!
For all Sabahans who still have the illusion of safety in Malaysia think again before you sign any petition to "remain Malaysians"!
The UMNO Gov't has long since dumped its Malaysia formation promises of "security and prosperity" by exploiting Sabah as a colony to develop Malaya.
You are figuratively signing your future away as they did with signing the Malaysia Agreement!
Think about a future as a strong independent nation....developed with its rich resources...OUTSIDE Malaysia!
you're right, the idea of secession is on everybody's mind, if only Sabahan can accept the filipino and join hand together with them then THERE will be a possibility, else, you can continue your pipe dream...
ReplyDeleteDID EAST TIMOR & SOUTHERN SUDAN & SO MANY EAST EUROPEAN COUNTRIES HAVE PIPE DREAMS TOO? NO EMPIRES LAST FOREVER.
ReplyDeleteMALAYSIA IS ONLY UMNO'S PIPSQUEAK MELAYU RAYA... NOT EVEN INDONESIA AGREE WITH UMNO...THEY CALLIT "MALINGSIA" LAND OF (UMNO) THIEVES
INTERESTING YOU SAY EVERYONE IS THINKING OF SECESSION! UMNO BN dreads the break up of Malaysia and the oppressed Sabah and Sarawak people welcome it! NO PIPE DREAM- JUST AN ASPIRATION!
................................................................................................
"Seccession" implies legitimacy of the "Malaysia".
"Independence" is more accurate as Sabah and Sarawak were re-colonised by Malaya.
This comment from Hornbill Unleashed. "Independence" is on everyone's lips.
LOSS OF SELF-DETERMINATION IS THE PRICE PAID BY SABAH PEOPLE TO BE IN MALAYSIA
“In my mind, the Kampong Tanduo, Lahad Datu Sabah incident was just a ‘montage’ and the bigger picture is more about the fate of Sabah and its people.”
Sabah and its people’s fate was misplaced in the hands of Malaya in 1963. Life was better before then!
The main justification given by Britain and Malaya for the formation of their Malaysia concept was that the Borneo colonies would be protected from “foreign invasion”.
The Sulu invasion is just another example of how false this argument is.
Malaya totally failed to protect Sabah not just from the allegedly UMNO staged invasion but actually engineered the transmigration of millions of illegals into Sabah and Sarawak to rig the polls so as to continue the illusion that the people here supported Malaysia.
The Sulu invasion serves to show that the whole thing is about Sabah people’s right to self-determination in an independent Sabah OUTSIDE Malaysia like Brunei and Singapore.
None of them got invaded or impoverished by UMNO raping their resources. And they are free and independent!
This applies equally to Sarawak which faces similar problems of abuse of power misgovernment, poverty, and illegals all made possible by UMNO BN rule in “Malaysia”.
People – it is 50 round years that Sabah and Sarawak were forced into Malaysia. Many of you may be grandparents.
But it is still time to right the wrongs and grasp our destinies by taking back control of our 2 countries.
This we can do by taking them out of Malaysia and save your children’s future.
TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY!
