Star Sabah first anniversary |
“STAR is no longer a “mosquito” party but a strong and significant political party in Sabah with a big following” said Datuk Dr.Jeffrey Kitingan, Chairman of STAR SABAH during STAR Sabah’s first anniversary last weekend.
“Compared to PKR which took six to seven years to get about 60,000 members, STAR has attracted 270,000 members within a short span of 12 months” he said.
Among STAR’s successes include its most effective slogan ‘INI KALI LAH” which are now being copied and echoed by other opposition parties even in the Peninsular, he added.“Compared to PKR which took six to seven years to get about 60,000 members, STAR has attracted 270,000 members within a short span of 12 months” he said.
The other significant success is its BTP (Borneo Tea Party) program which is run by UBF (United Borneo Front) to educate the people on Sabah/Malaysia’s political-economic history with analysis, facts and figures. This program didn’t need much money to run and provided effective social interaction that includes questions and answer sessions.
The anniversary was also attended by top leaders of the United Borneo Alliance (UBA) including SAPP and USNO and about 5,000 people.
“SELAMATKAN SABAH TANAH AIRKU”
However Star has not been able to achieve their strategy to work with other opposition parties till now.
ReplyDeleteStar president has been talking about cooperating with SAPP and PR since they started out.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe it's already been a year.
ReplyDeleteThere have been plans to discuss about ganging up against BN, but for the whole year, nothing has been achieved.
ReplyDeleteGeneral Election 13 will come soon, will the opposition finally unite?
Buat kempen sana sini pengaruhi telinga orang supaya mendengar.
ReplyDeleteDaripada sini kita nampak bahawa ternyata Dr. Jeffri Kitingan seperti orang 'desperate' a.k.a terdesak dalam politik di Sabah ni.
ReplyDeleteThe Barisan Nasional government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is now at its strongest to face the 13th general election, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDelete"We will leave it to the top party leadership to determine, and I feel this can be resolved soon," he said.
He said the BN machinery was ready to face an election regarded as the most intense in the nation's political history.
ReplyDelete"Although there are attempts to derail the BN government, we will not allow that to happen ... we will fight tooth and nail to defend the BN government," he said when opening the 27th congress of Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) at the Hongkod Koisaan (Unity Hall).
ReplyDeleteIn this aspect, Muhyiddin said, the PBS was an important asset to ensure a BN victory in the election.
ReplyDeleteHe expressed confidence that the PBS, under the leadership of Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan who was credible, bold and firm, could help ensure that Sabah not only remained a "fixed deposit" of the BN but was also strong and sturdy.
ReplyDeleteMuhyiddin reminded the Sabah people not to fall for the lies of the opposition leaders in their attempt to make it to Putrajaya.
"What is certain is that after the next general election, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will remain as the prime minister and, likewise, Datuk Seri Musa Aman (as the chief minister) in Sabah," he said.
He said Najib's introduction of the extraordinary transformation measures to make the country a developed nation by 2020 had placed Malaysia among the countries most attractive and undergoing intensive development in the region.
Muhyiddin said the federal government had a major agenda of further developing Sabah and, as such, it was necessary to retain the BN in power.
ReplyDeleteOn the preparation for the next general election, he urged BN supporters including PBS members to accept and support whoever was named as the candidates.
"If a BN candidate wins, surely this will contribute to an overall BN victory. That is why we have to ensure that all BN candidates win," he said.
