It’s Najib’s fourth visit to Sabah this year and comes six weeks after his last visit to Keningau on June 16. All have so far been carefully staged affairs to give the impression that he is popular in the state.
Though there is no official statement about his itinerary here, signboards welcoming him and wife Rosmah Mansor, are already up in Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and in Kota Belud, the birth place of Sabah Umno.
According to people familiar with the visit, preparations are also being made for meetings with the Sabah Umno liaison committee and the Sabah Barisan Nasional, while he is in Sandakan.
In Kota Belud, about 70km north of here, the town is abuzz with news that Najib and Rosmah will grace Aidilfitri celebration at the house of Parliament Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia, at Kampung Rampayan Laut, on Sept 2.
At least two giant billboards on their visit to Kota Belud have been erected in the town besides banners welcoming the couple and urging citizens to come to the Aidilfitri celebration.
According to the billboards, the function is co-hosted by the United Sabah Bajau Organisation (USBO) which is led by state Umno deputy chief Salleh Said Keruak and Pandikar.
Political analysts are of the opinion that the Sandakan meeting of Sabah Umno and its president could be tense.
“Any argument will be an eye-opener. Look for absentees. Don’t expect too much from the BN meeting, they are just too meek to speak their minds,” said an observer.
NEVER SEEN SUCH A SLEAZY CHARACTER BEFORE!
ReplyDeletePM Najib, no nid to waste time visitng Sabah. Even if you pay money to PTI to vote for Umno and BN will not make Sabah the fixed deposit anymore.
ReplyDeleteGo back and take care of Malaya and leave Sabah alone. Everyone in Sabah Umno has hidden agenda and waiting for time and money to jump. Do you think Salleh will not jump? He will be among the first in the queue to jump when Umno falls. Just remember this as it is from his closest.
NAJIT & UNMO - SABAH IS NOT YOUR COMFORT WOMAN TO PLAY WITH AS YOU WISH
DeleteMake sure nothing bad happen.
DeleteCuma rajin semasa semakin dekat. Lawatan sebegini harus sentiasa dibuat.
DeleteSabah Umno Liaison Committee chairman and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman has given four reasons why the people of Sabah should continue to support Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak as the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
ReplyDeleteHe said the four reasons were much needed for the prosperity of Sabahans despite the tremendous progress now under his leadership.
Delete"Why do we need to retain Barisan Nasional (BN)? Why must Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak continue as Prime Minister? The answer is simple. Because we want development, prosperity, peace and harmony," he said.
DeleteOn the other hand, he feared that Sabah and its people would suffer a setback if they picked the wrong party and leader to form the government after the coming general election.
DeleteNevertheless, Musa said the people of Sabah were not easily influenced by the opposition which feigned blindness and refused to admit the prolific development in Sabah under BN.
DeleteHe said the people had enjoyed and benefited from numerous initiatives implemented under Najib such as the Government Transformation Programme.
Delete"He has helped fishermen, farmers and padi planters. He has also helped the people in the villages, in towns, children, elderly, pensioners and even taxi drivers," he said.
According to Musa, the state government had through its own initiatives introduced programmes to boost the economy and standard of living of the people.
DeleteHe said the sejahtera mini-estate projects, handicraft centres, business and entreprenuership programmes and providing basic infrastructure were part of the initiatives to develop the people of Sabah.
DeletePrime Minister Najib Tun Razak noted that Malaysia's recent economic achievement of 5.4 per cent growth in the second financial quarter had drawn praise from international financial experts.
Delete"This is proof that if we give solid support to the national transformation agenda, we will be able to achieve economic growth to benefit the rakyat. We hope this success will bring pride for all Malaysians here and abroad...that they represent a country that is unique,” he said.
DeleteI think he understands how it feels when we got nothing in return.
ReplyDeleteYeah however there are certain things he need to address first.
DeleteJangan disebabkan PRU makin hampir saja..
Deletebaguslah kalau Sabah menjadi 'pilihan' PM
ReplyDeleteya, memang bagus jika Sabah sentiasa diberikan perhatian.
Deletethe important thing is Sabah BN should unite rather than be divided
ReplyDeleteSabah menjadi semakin popular di mata rakyat Malaysia
ReplyDeletesetidak-tidaknya PM mengambil-berat akan Sabah
ReplyDeleteBN really need the support of the majority of the Sabahans to win in GE13
ReplyDeleteTidak turun salah, turunpun banyak cakap.. susah mau kasih senang hati semua pihak ni.
