Is Taib slipping under growing pressure?

How dense can Taib Mahmud be to openly describe his
own people as 'stupid'?
In an act of crazy stupidity, Sarawak’s Chief Minister Taib Mahmud has responded to growing condemnation of his family’s illegitimate wealth by claiming that others in Sarawak are poor because they “do not have it up here” (tapping his head)!

What he meant is that, unlike his own “clever” children, most Sarawakians are too stupid to make money.

DAP needs a lesson on skin colour

By Joe Fernandez
It is interesting that DAP’s Pantai Remis state assemblyman and Taiping MP Nga Kor Ming should use the term “black” recently to refer to Perak Menteri Besar Zambry Abdul Kadir. May God have mercy on those black souls responsible for the Perak power grab.

Whites will naturally see Nga’s remark as a case of the pot calling the kettle black. They would probably die laughing at “the freaky blackies making comparisons of their respective skin tones among themselves”. The fact is the whites are the ones who are the real freaks of nature.

NO to Public Assembly Act Protest

By Ezra Haganez

PENAMPANG: About 100 activists and supporters of three causes gathered and laid three wreaths at the statue monument of the late Peter Joinod Mojuntin, often called as the golden son of the Kadazandusuns (for his valor and sharp vision) at Donggongon Square here today, Nov 29.

Peaceful gathering at the Peter Mojuntin monument in Donggongon, 11.30 Tuesday, Nov 29, 2011

On Tuesday, 29th November, 2011, at 11.30am, as many of us meet at the Lake Gardens in Kuala Lumpur to walk to defend our right to assemble peaceably, our brothers and sisters in Kota Kinabalu will gather at the same time around the monument built in remembrance of the fallen Golden son of the Kadazans, Peter Mojuntin, who perished with others in the highly controversial and much unexplained plane crash on 6th June, 1976.

The helicopter view approach

Anwar Ibrahim and Azmin Ali whacked me to kingdom come and made all sorts of snide remarks against me during PKR’s annual general assembly in Penang. Azmin had venom is his tone when, during his speech, he looked at me and said that all those who collaborate with Dr Mahathir can take a hike. I detected the smirk on Anwar’s face when Azmin took that swipe at me.

Sabah should get a higher oil royalty

KOTA KINABALU, Nov 25, 2011: The State government should continue to demand for a higher petroleum royalty from the Federal government, said Luyang State Assemblywoman, Melanie Chia.

Speaking at the State Legislative Assembly on Wednesday while debating on the State Budget 2012, Chia fervently asserted that this was only appropriate and fair to the people of Sabah, in view of Sabah's significant contribution to the nation's coffer.

SAPP wants assurance on indelible ink

KOTA KINABALU: The president of Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee wanted the assurance that indelible ink to be used in the next general election would not be easily wiped clean.

The Election Commission had initially planned to use indelible ink, purchased at a cost of RM2.4 million for the 2008 general elections but backed out at the last minute citing public order and security issues.

Shafie, Dari Putrajaya Ke Isa?

The evil of a racist political party

Datuk Chairman, thank you for allowing me, on behalf of Parti Keadilan Rakyat Sabah, to take part in this hearing. My specific area concerns the Electoral Rolls.

1          Introduction

Datuk Chairman and YB-YB, Sabah is in a precarious situation, as far as the non-qualified names (phantom voters) on Sabah electoral rolls are concerned. Precarious because it concerns Sabah’s sovereignty within Malaysia. No Sabah no Malaysia. Save Sabah save Malaysia.

By Chris Maskilone (Daily Express 23/11/2011)
DAP Sri Tanjung Assemblyman Jimmy Wong said despite not complying with the water management standards Sabah’s water tariff is the highest in the country.

He claimed the State Government had failed to take any action to rectify issues mentioned in the Water Audit Report in 2008.

“The people have the right to have access to clean water, literally. Raw water quality is bad. Water treatment plants in Sabah are not equipped with tools, lab and qualified personnel.

Musa ‘reluctant’ to fight for Sabahans

The lack of 'political will' to resolve the cabotage policy
will see Sabahans plunge deeper into poverty.
By Luke Rintod of FMT
KOTA KINABALU: A well-known consumer activist has criticised the Sabah government for lacking the courage to strike a deal with the federal government to bring down the prices of goods, especially food items, in the state.

“This is a long overdue issue. The state government has done nothing to alleviate the sky-rocketing prices of food items in Sabah,” said Patrick Sindu.

‘Lack of will’ reason for unresolved land woes

By Luke Rintod of FMT
The Sabah government, which has unfettered control over jurisdiction on land, should work out 'negotiated solutions' in all land-grab issues.

KOTA KINABALU: Globe-trotting Danish environmental consultant, Brigitte Feiring, who was commissioned to evaluate the effectiveness of Pacos’ land rights and natural resource management programmes among natives, has listed two reasons why land-grab issues are yet to be resolved in Sabah.

According to Feiring, the two reasons are a “lack of will” and “capacity problem”.

Stop sending Ustaz to Sarawak schools’

Dayaks in Sarawak must resist an alleged attempt to convert
their children and take away their rights.
KUCHING: A simmering issue over the alleged conversion to Islam of Dayak students and pre-schoolers in Sarawak is set to explode in the Umno-led Barisan Nasional’s face .

Responding to the latest allegations that there was an attempt to impart Islamic teaching and practices to non-Muslim children in some Kemas and government pre-schools in the rural areas, the state’s largest Dayak organisation has demanded an immediate stop to such covert activities.

Sarawak Dayak National Union (SDNU) which has well over 100,000 members are demanding that the Taib Mahmud-led state administration intervene and arrest the situation or face public wrath.

The exhortation of the 2012 State Budget rings hollow and the accolades by BN leaders and supporters are presumptuous and sometimes border on the “angkat ampu” type.  Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, the founder of the United Borneo Front (UBF) explained that while the 2012 State Budget of a record RM4.048 Billion may be the biggest in the history of the State, it needs to be seen in the perspective of a loss of some RM32 Billion of revenue “lost” to the Federal Government which could translate into a State Budget of RM36 Billion and even assuming a 50:50 revenue sharing formula with the Federal Government, the State Budget would still be at least RM20 Billion instead of RM4.0 Billion as presented by the Chief Minister last Friday.

Who’s behind the farmers’ party in Sabah?

By Luke Rintod of FMT
KOTA KINABALU: A new political party that emerged in Sabah about a year ago is raising eyebrows after it appeared to have received the support of two influential leaders – Chief Minister Musa Aman and former chief minister Harris Salleh.

Who really is behind the Sabah People’s Front Party (SPF)? The question keeps popping up during discussions about politic movements in the state.

Chilling Report From Brussels

Hope all is well down in Borneo.

I have just read the entire Geert Wilders speech and I must admit his account of the islam migration related events in Europe is no news for me, it is merely a summary of what we all experience every day. It is 100% correct that non Muslim women are insulted regularly by them, the local women being called whores or harrassed on the streets. In some towns in northern Europe blonde women dye their hair black so they are not too conspicuous when being noticed by muslims.

The bank president then asked her how much she would like to deposit. She replied, “$165,000!” and dumped the cash out of her bag onto his desk.

SAS scandal: Angry businessman Ambrose Lee slams Yee for implicating him

(Revisited) After more than a decade of silence, a businessman who was implicated as the hand behind the crash in the unit price of Saham Amanah Sabah (SAS) in 1997 has surfaced to publicly deny any involvement in the fiasco.

Businessman Ambrose Lee broke his silence following last week’s debacle in the state legislative assembly in which his name was, for the first time, directly linked to the debacle.

Lee was known to be the owner of now defunct Suniwang Holdings Sdn Bhd, which bought the MISC blue chip shares from Sabah government’s investment arm, Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn Bhd (WHSSB), in exchange for the North Borneo Timber (NBT) and Sugarbun shares back in 1997.

KUCHING: Sarawak will be another “Sabah” beset with problems of immigrants if the state government goes ahead with its plans to import 600,000 skilled labourers to work in the much- talked about Sarawak Corridor Renewal of Energy (SCORE) by 2030.

“This figure represents 20% of the Sarawak’s population, and an influx of such a number of people will have an impact on the cohesion of the ethnic community of Sarawak,” said Ba’Kelalan assemblyman Baru Bian, who is the Sarawak PKR chief.

UMNO and Population Engineering

 By Hussein Abd Hamid

Since 1957 UMNO has effectively carried out the population engineering of our country to ensure its long-term survival by creating the myth of a two pronged “Ketuanan Melayu”. “Ketuanan Melayu” for the Malay masses who are lull into a feeling of being superior over the non-Malays because of their numbers and “Ketuanan Melayu” for the UMNO Malay political elites through the accumulation of massive material wealth for themselves and their cronies. And while UMNO has failed by almost any measure you chose to gauge them – good governance or morality – without question they have succeeded too well in the engineering of the population of this country of ours.

KDM Malaysia not bowing to critics

He said there is a need to counter media statements by certain leaders here who accused the group of hiding behind an NGO in order for it to spread a different agenda to the people.

Why No Ag Report On 5% Royalty?

The total number of existing oil wells in Malaysia until 31st of March, 2011 is 117 oil wells, and all are in operation and producing crude oil. There are altogether 15 oil wells in the Sabah and the produce from these oil wells all belonging to Sabah. The total extraction of oil from the 15 Sabah oil wells is as much as 192,000 barrels per day.

This was a question recently raised by the Kota Kinabalu Member of Parliament Hiew King Cheu in Parliament. The answer given by the Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak is very important to the Sabahan who like to know how much crude oil is being produced in Sabah, and by how many barrels per day.

In an urgent appeal made here, the UBF Chairman, reported that he had just returned from a visit to the site of Kampung Km. 6, Jalan Sukau, Sandakan where he personally witnessed the debris of two houses which have already been bulldozed by Syarikat Campo Sdn. ‘Stop calling for Sabah leaders to unite, Jeffrey’

Frustrated supporters of Jeffrey Kitingan are
demanding that he takes a political stand.
By Luke Rintod of FMT
KOTA KINABALU: Maverick Sabah politician Jeffrey Kitingan is causing confusion within the ranks of his supporters as the 13th general election looms with his ambiguous stand on politics in the state and country.

Their bewilderment was summed up by a veteran political activist who has thrown his lot behind the mercurial leader.

11 reasons for not having polls this year

KUALA LUMPUR: The talk in town is that a general election will be called this year some 17 months before this current government's term ends. We think not. And here are 11 reasons why we think the 13th general election will not be called this year:
1. Barisan Nasional is only meeting today to further discuss its seat allocations and, by all accounts, the 14 parties in the ruling coalition have yet to agree on many things, especially candidates. Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is chairing the meeting to be held at the PWTC.

Najib goes to bank

As he approaches the cashier he says "Good morning , could you please cash this cheque for me?"

Najib: "Alamak! I did not bring my ID with me as I didn't think there was any need to. "

The Issue of basic facilities in Sabah and Sarawak

KUALA LUMPUR: The issue of basic facilities in the rural areas of Sabah and Sarawak was one of the main issues raised during the debate on the Supply Bill 2012 for the Rural and Regional Development Ministry in parliament yesterday.

Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing (BN-Bintulu) and Datuk Eric Majimbun (Independent-Sepanggar) questioned the implementation of projects at the ministerial level as many of the facilities provided in both states still could not be used after so long.

Single party rule can happen again-Yong

PENAMPANG: Having a single party to rule a state or government is nothing new as Sabah is one of the three states in Malaysia which have done that.

Discrimination of Non-Malays in Malaysia plain racists as PAS said . . . This list is a common knowledge to a lot of Malaysians, especially those non-Malays (Chinese, Ibans, Kadazans, Orang Asli, Tamils, etc.) who have been racially discriminated against.

Figures in this list are merely estimates, so please take it as a guide only. The government of Malaysia has the most correct figures. Is government of Malaysia too ashamed to publish their racist acts by publishing racial statistics?

The important thing is this is the force that should tell the rulers/government what it wants and not the other way around.
