KUCHING: Sarawak PKR has produced thousands of CDs and DVDs as a means of communicating with voters.
Its chief Baru Bian said the CDs and DVDs included information on the party as well as Pakatan Rakyat’s vision and policies.
“Since we have no television access, we have to rely on our own ways and means of taking the message to the masses. For us, CDs and DVDs hold the promise of disseminating our message,” he told a press conference here yesterday.
Baru said the CDs and DVDs were produced from time to time over the past one year.
“They were of various series, but all explaining the party’s policies and issues faced by the people.
“I was told, and I was surprised, that in most places the number of people having video players are quite good,” he said.
Baru said the CDs and DVDs were given free to the people mainly in the rural areas.
He said Radio Free Sarawak was another available option for PKR to bring their message to voters.
Baru believed that if all the CDs and DVDs were taken to the voters, especially in the rural areas, “the people would be able to understand and appreciate our policies”.
