Now Sabah PKR Liaison Secretary quits Party... Cites unhealthy and unabated politickings in PKR as reason

Kota Kinabalu, SABAH: Sabah PKR State Liaison Secretary, Mursalim Tanjul, who is also the Party's divisional head for Kudat, has announced he is quitting PKR with immediate effect.

He cited dirty politickings within PKR as the main reason for his quitting.

Mursalim successfully retained his post as Kudat divisional head in the recent party polls.

He was the one who hit the headlines in local newspapers recently for being shoved and punched at Sandakan Airport by 30 supporters of PKR Batu Sapi divisional head Hassnar Ebrahim.

Hassnar, who is aligned to Ansari Abdullah, was believed to be unhappy with Mursalim's stand of supporting PKR State Liaison Chief, Ahmad Thamrin Jaini, who is from Sandakan, and not Ansari, who is from Tuaran, as PKR candidate in the Batu Sapi by-poll which was eventually retained by BN-PBS with a huge 6,000 over majority votes.

In his messages to his friends today, the soft-spoken Mursalim, texted in Malay as follows:

"Salam tuan/puan. Sebagai makluman saya sudah umum keluar parti dari PKR dalam perbincangan khas dengan timbalan ketua cabang, setiausaha cabang, ketua angkatan muda, dan 10 orang AJK Cabang. Jadi segala urusan Cabang, sila hubungi Setiausaha Cabang atau Timbalan Ketua Cabang. Saya ucapkan jutaan terima kasih atas sokongan dan bantuan tuan/puan selama ini. Walau apapun kita tetap kawan, sahabat dan bersaudara. Terima kasih dan selamat berjuang."

That was Mursalim's notice and parting words immediately he had decided to leave PKR.

Mursalim confided that he was tired with all the unhealthy politickings going on in the PKR.

"I am tired with this endless politickings. Now i wish to focus on business..." he said.

It is not yet certain how this will affect PKR, but Mursalim is considered as one of those pious Muslim leaders who is open enough to hear from any sides of the factions in Sabah.
