Deacon Clement ordained a priest
Tambunan, SABAH: Deacon Clement Abel Anggas was ordained a priest at the Holy Cross Church in Toboh, here, Sunday.
Keningau Diocese Bishop, Datuk Cornelius Piong, presided over the ordination attended by St Peter's College Kuching Rector, Fr Richard Ng, Toboh Holy Cross Parish Priest, Fr Boniface Kimsin, Parish Pastoral Council Chairman, Jeryy Kilip, and organising chairman, James Kulip.
Born on April 12, 1973, Clement who hails from Kampung Timbou here used to be a musician and actively involved in the entertainment scene.
Eighth in siblings of 11, he was baptised on May 6, 1973 at the St Mary Church in Sandakan.
He received his early education in St David Primary School, Toboh and then at SM St Martin here before furthering his studies at the Institut Teknologi Mara (now UiTM) in Kuching in 1996.
His journey towards priesthood began with the sev-enyear Seminary Training in St Peter's College, Kuching.
As for pastoral exposure, he had served in several places like the St Joseph Cathedral Kuching (2004), Kota Sentosa Mental Hospital and Tua Sri Kenangan Old Folk's Home Sarawak (2005), St Anthony Tenom and Kemabong (2007), St Francis Xavier Cathedral and Sook (2008), St Peter Bundu and St Patrick Membakut (2009) and St Anthony Tenom and Kemabong (2010).
