Jokes for the day: Touring
Groups of Americans were traveling by tour bus through Holland . As they stopped at a cheese farm, a young guide led them through the process of cheese making, explaining that goat's milk was used. She showed the group a lovely hillside where many goats were grazing. 'These' she explained, 'Are the older goats put out to pasture when they no longer produce.' She then asked, 'What do you do in America with your old goats? A spry old gentleman answered, 'They send us on bus tours!j
Riches to rags: Umno has ruined Sabah
By Queville To
BEAUFORT: Former state finance minister Mohd Noor Mansoor has lashed out at Umno for impoverishing Sabah after it spread its wings to the state.
In a strongly worded speech in the pro-Barisan Nasional hinterlands, the former Berjaya Party leader accused the peninsula-based party of mismanaging a once rich state to one of the poorest in the country.
Speaking to a large gathering during the annual general meeting of six Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) committees, he warned that Umno was introducing communal politics into the state to ensure its grip through a divide and rule policy.

The cartoons of Najib and Rosmah that got Zunar locked up
CARTOONS INSIDE Cartoonist Zunar or Zulkiflee Anwar Ulhaque was freed at 6pm on Saturday following a hail of public criticism for Prime Minister Najib Razak's increasing repressive government.
According to Zunar's lawyer Latheefa Koya, his remand was extended from Friday afternoon as the police had not taken down his statement.
"They are also flip-flopping on whether to investigate him under the Sedition Act or the Printing Presses and Publications Act. This is all done in complete bad faith," she told reporters.

What A Shameful & Hypocritical UN Speech By The PM Of Malaysia!
By Richard Loh, Penang
The Prime Minister of Malaysia in his tweet is encouraging Malaysians to read his speech that he delivered at the UN General Assembly, and welcome their thoughts.
My thought is that it was such a shameful and hypocritical speech. His full text can be read here.
How can the PM be so shameless to preach to the world about the good while practicing the bad in his own homeland? I hope President Obama and other world leaders will take his speech with a grain of salt.
Let me differentiate what he preaches to the world and what he practices in his own country. I would like to remind the world leaders that Malaysia is quick to condemn other countries wrong doings but others were blocked from interfering with Malaysia internal problems even if they had signed or supported any of the international law agreements.

A Hari Raya Message For Taib
Dear Taib,
Time flies fast. I sent a Raya message last year to you. It’s Raya again. You well?
It is a little malu to see a great man hanging in the air like a monkey – can’t go up (to become Governor) and can’t come down (to enjoy your the rakyat's money).
For the remaining days on earth, you should follow this wise advice, Taib!
1. Pray 20 times a day, 5 to do your duty as a good Muslim, 15 times as repentance to pay for the sins you have committed and all the wrongs and bad deeds you did in the past 30 years to the people of Sarawak . This is your first step to your eternal redemption.
Malaysia is dead when Singapore left the Federation in 1965

What this country needs now is a GOOD DESPOT who can put a stop to all the bloody nonsense from UMNO /BN who are the real axis of evil. This man can be a Malay, a Chinese, an Indian or any of the indigenious people of this country, I don't really care, so long he can get the job done. He can stay as long as he likes so long he can get this country out of the misery and give equal and fair treatment to all citizens. The power of a nation lies in an educated and happy people and not in the barrel of a gun.
Why the fuck do we, Sarawakians & Sabahans have to suffer for those stupid Malayans who continue to colonialise us under neo-colonialism without caring a fuck about the 20 / 18 Points ?

Reject extremism: Is Najib walking the talk at home?
It is all very well for Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to say that ‘the moderates’ should ‘reclaim the agenda for peace and pragmatism’, in his maiden speech at the United Nations General Assembly. But shouldn’t he be cleaning up his own backyard first?
He maintained that all faiths needed ‘to work together’ and that extremists ‘held the world hostage with their bigotry and bias’. He suggested that “we must choose moderation over extremism”.
Ten days earlier, Najib had already lectured to us about extremism. But his message then was vague and non-committal.

Jokes for the day: I lied
Bob, a 70-year-old, extremely wealthy widower, shows up at the Country Club with a breathtakingly beautiful and very sexy 25-year-old blonde-haired woman who knocks everyone's socks off with her youthful sex appeal and charm and who hangs over Bob's arm and listens intently to his every word. His buddies at the club are all aghast. At the very first chance, they corner him and ask, 'Bob, how'd you get the trophy girlfriend?' Bob replies, 'Girlfriend? She's my wife!' They are knocked over, but continue to ask. 'So, how'd you persuade her to marry you?' 'I lied about my age', Bob replies. 'What, did you tell her you were only 50?' Bob smiles and says, 'No, I told her I was 90.'

Message from William Leong, PKR Treasurer
Dear ALL,
This message below is directed to All Malaysians.
This message below is directed to All Malaysians.
If you are not a Malaysian, then take it for information sake. Politics itself is not dirty, but it's people who make it dirty....so it depends on which side of the fence you are in.
Thanks to W.F. Cheah for sharing this article by William Leong. William Leong is the treasurer of PKR and younger brother of ex minister, Paul Leong. Practising in law for 20 odd years before going into politics
PLEASE READ IF YOU CARE ENOUGH FOR YOUR KIDS' FUTURE
All Malaysians are duty bound to help each other to achieve a better life in our country. With the performance of the UMNO/BN for the last 52 years, especially the last 28 years, the country has been raped by politicians and their cronies. You know how arrogant they are, let us have look.
Press Statement by an ex-deputy secretary of PKR on election fraud & underhand tactics in PKR polls
I, Jenapala a/l Perumal Subaan am holding this press conference to express my total disgust and extreme outrage at the rampant incidences of election fraud and underhanded tactics practiced by PKR party leaders Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Azmin Ali during the current party elections.
To show how serious I am of exposing these practices, I am committed to hold a press conference every Monday at this venue. For today, I will focus on five cases in particular.
From Raja Petra Kamarudin who celebrated his 60th birthday recently
My time on earth is no longer mine. This time does not belong to me. It belongs to my children and grandchildren and their children and grandchildren yet to be born.
NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin
I was born just after midnight UK time 60 years ago. That would be around 7.00am Malaysian time. But already I am receiving loads of birthday wishes.
As I would probably not be able to reply to all your messages, as there are just so many, I would like to thank everyone here in this article for the birthday wishes you sent me and are continuing to send me even as I write this article. I don’t want anyone saying that I am sombong and am ignoring your messages.
My father who was born on 1st July 1925 died on 4th August 1971 at the age of 46. My mother who was born on 11th February 1933 died on 5th November 1980 at the age of 47. The fact that today I am celebrating my 60th birthday means I have been given ‘extended time’, which I certainly must be very grateful for.

Ramon E Mendoza MARRIAGE...A MUST READ" (Please do share TO ALL)
by Ramon E Mendoza
When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.
Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly.
She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

Jokes for the day: I believe he can fly
One night, an 87-year-old woman came home from Bingo to find her 92-year-old husband in bed with another woman. She became violent and ended up pushing him off the balcony of their 20th floor apartment, killing him instantly. Brought before the court, on the charge of murder, she was asked if she had anything to say in her own defense. 'Your Honor,' she began coolly, 'I figured that at 92, if he could screw, he could fly.'
Dr Jeffrey wins PKR top post in Pensiangan Division
By Ezra Haganez
PENSIANGAN: Maverick politician, PKR vice president Dr Jeffrey Kitingan today won the post of PKR Divisional Head or Ketua Cabang for Pensiangan, a large but mostly rural area neighbouring Indonesian East Kalimantan.
A closely-watched three cornered tussle, the fight saw Jeffrey, who moved from adjacent Keningau to Pensiangan only weeks ago, winning by a majority of 64 votes, polling 170 over incumbent Danny Andipai's respectable 106.

With some hesitation, they explained that although their little angel appeared to be in good health, they were concerned about his rather small penis.

Economics 123 - How the US economy works !

In a small town in the United States, the place looks almost totally deserted. It is tough times, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit.
Suddenly, a rich tourist comes to town. He enters the town's only hotel, lays a 100 Dollar Bill on the reception counter as a deposit, and goes to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one.

THE SIX MISTAKES OF SABAHANS
By Peter Marajin
KOTA KINABALU: The First Biggest Mistake made by the Sabahan leaders, I think, was that they concurred with the crafty Malayan Tunku Abdul Rahman to form a nation called 'MALAYSIA' not knowing that the Malayan leader(s) under UMNO might have a hidden agenda of "colonising" Sabah and Sarawak in a true sense of the word.
We could have been happy in the safe hands of Great Britain until such a time when the Sabahans could take over the administration and rule on their own.
Look at Brunei as a case in point. Like the ‘fairy tale’ the Bruneians could only whisper to your ears and say “we live happily ever after”.
Response to Wong Chun Wai of The Star
Posted by SABM
Dear Mr. Wong Chun Wai,
I refer to your commentary in The Star (29 Feb 2008) in which you wrote:
" I hear church groups telling their congregation to vote anything opposition including PAS, which is simply naïve and emotional. Whatever the flaws of the system, it still works, despite some occasional hitches," said one Penang Barisan leader.
Why didn't you name that Penang Barisan leader? Because this quote is your personal view. Writers like you, who are de facto press secretaries of MCA and running dogs of UMNO, write your views and attribute them to some sources or political analysts. Please lah, don't mock at our intelligence!
Mr Wong, a flawed system doesn't work! If it is flawed, it is flawed. How can it work?
I understand you are a Christian but I wonder how much you understand the Gospels or the very life of Jesus Christ and what He stood for.
Our Lord would not have been crucified had He accepted "the flaws of the system" of His times. He never asked His people to close their eyes to the "flaws of the system" and instead focus on development , personal comfort, bank accounts and roads.
He stood up against the corrupt leaders who were fleecing the people. He condemned them as dead man's tombs, hypocrites, vipers etc ( please read Matthew 23). The entire chapter is condemnation of the corrupt leaders of the Law.
How could one who professes to be a Christian choose to prop up a regime that is utterly corrupt and immoral? How could a Christian vote for candidates who are unwilling to defend the rights of his religion? How could a Christian support a regime that denies the weak non-Muslim to seek redress in any court of law?
What is your take on abuse of power, the dismantling of the Judiciary, the corrupt government leaders who inflate their bank accounts with money that belongs to the people? Or something closer to your profession as a journalist on press freedom and independence? Do you subscribe to the international call for "Reporters Without Borders" or its French equivalent of "Reportres Sans Frontiers " (RSF)? To write and report fairly and truthfully without fear or favour?
What is your stand on the confiscation of Christian literature and the Bible or the banning of the term "Allah" (mind you, this was approved by the Cabinet of which MCA Ministers are members)
Aren't all these precursors of more frightening things to come? Have you thought what awaits your children's future if this trend continues?
What is your stand on the creeping Islamization of the country and the utter subservience of the MCA that you represent, to its political masters, UMNO? You are no more than a running dog.
Why should I give my vote to a MCA or Gerakan Chinese who will not defend my religious rights? A good MCA leader who cannot defend my rights is of no use to me.
As Christians, should we be more concerned about Truth, Freedom, Justice, good governance, honesty and righteousness than bread and butter issues or clogged drains and tarred roads?
Shouldn't a Christian stand up for the poor, the oppressed and the marginalized? (Please read Matthew 6).
UMNO has done more damage to my religious rights than PAS. It is UMNO which is snatching away dead bodies, not PAS. It is UMNO which is separating children from parents and husbands from their wives, not PAS. It is UMNO that threatened us with the keris, not PAS. It is UMNO which demolishes Hindu temples, not PAS. It is UMNO which destroys Christian Orang Asli churches, not PAS. So which political party has become more Islamic?
Therefore it is not "naïve or emotional" for a Christian to give his/her vote to PAS against the apartheid inclined regime that is racist and utterly devoid of honesty and morality.
The government has to earn that Christian vote. It is not given free of charge. Sir, there is such a thing as a protest vote. A friend of mine is so enraged with the current deplorable state of affairs that apart from PAS, he is even prepared to vote for a dog if the opposition puts it up as a candidate for parliament.
NOTE TO CHRISTIANS: If you are a Christian and have never registered as a voter or have never voted in your life, shame on you. You are an irresponsible Christian and citizen. (Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's).
A good Christian is God fearing and a responsible citizen.
Smith
"Bad officials are elected by good citizens who do not vote."
"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:10
The Malaysia story: Truth, History and Propaganda
By Joe Fernandez
COMMENT Malaysia, it is being written, is celebrating its 53rd year of independence since the departure of the British colonialists.
This appears to support the unspoken, unwritten, official line that 1957 is the year of independence for the entire country.
This version of history can only mean that Malaya underwent a name change in 1963 to emerge as Malaysia. Hence the story of 53 years continues.

Jokes for the day: Curious Mother
The mother of a 17-year-old girl was concerned that her daughter was having sex.
Worried the girl might become pregnant and adversely impact the family's status, she consulted the family doctor.
The doctor told her that teenagers today were very willful and any attempt to stop the girl would probably result in rebellion. He then told her to arrange for her daughter to be put on birth control and until then, talk to her and give her a box of condoms.

Jokes for the day: Most dangerous food
A Doctor was addressing a large audience in Tampa . 'The material we put into our stomachs is enough to have killed most of us sitting here, years ago. Red meat is awful. Soft drinks corrode your stomach lining. Chinese food is loaded with MSG. High fat diets can be disastrous, and none of us realizes the long-term harm caused by the germs in our drinking water. However, there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all and we all have eaten, or will eat it. Can anyone here tell me what food it is that causes the most grief and suffering for years after eating it?' After several seconds of quiet, a 75-year-old man in the front row raised his hand, and softly said, 'Wedding Cake.'
S’wak Chinese unbowed by Taib’s threat
By Joe Fernandez
ANALYSIS The Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP), in trouble with Chinese voters in particular since 2006, is being told that the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) will be able to form the next state government even without a single seat contribution from it. This is the message going out to the party from Sarawak Chief Minister Taib Mahmud who has to call state polls by the middle of next year.
Taib’s message is based on the fact that SUPP will be allocated as usual only 19 of the 71 state seats at stake. The party lost eight seats at the last outing in 2006. The Bumiputera-based Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) will take the lion’s share at 35, Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) nine and Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) eight.

FRIGHTENING REALITY ABOUT MUSLIMS
Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat.
Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it is a complete, total, 100% system of life.
Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military components. The religious component is a beard for all of the other components. Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their religious privileges.

Formation of Malaysia
In the years immediately before the formation of Malaysia, two commissions of enquiry visited North Borneo (along with neighbouring Sarawak) in order to establish the state of public opinion there regarding merger with Malaya (and Singapore).
It is important to note that neither commission was mandated with addressing the legal status of North Borneo; neither were they 'referendums' in the proper sense.

A Malaysia Day reflection
By Hilary Chiew
COMMENT Malaysia Day last Thursday saw considerable outpouring of sentiments of ‘oneness’ on the pages of newspapers and online portals and even on the streets.
Some were the predictable reiteration and re-examination of the 20- and 18-point agreements that applied to Sabah and Sarawak when the two states in Borneo together with the Federation of Malaya and Singapore formed Malaysia in 1963.
There were also the propagandists ‘feel-good’ stories of West Malaysians singing praises of the ‘development’ they saw happening in the two states across the South China Sea.

Law of the Garbage Truck
One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.
‘Indian youths engineered into gangsterism’ by UMNO.
Source Malaysiakini
The Human Rights Party Malaysia (HRP) claims that Umno’s social engineering has denied Indian youths the right to education, jobs, business mobility, loans and contract opportunities that has resulted in many of them turning to gangsterism and violent crime.
Protem secretary general P Uthayakumar (right) alleged this has resulted in the emergence of a new Indian criminal underclass at levels disproportionate to the Indian community’s 8 percent of the nation’s population.
He says detaining such youths without trial under the Emergency Ordinance (EO) will not do; Indian gangsterism must be tackled at its roots.

Ex-Sabah state sec moots panel on constitution
By Joe Fernandez
KOTA KINABALU: Former Sabah state secretary Simon Sipaun has suggested that a special committee be set up to study past amendments to the federal constitution, the role of the judiciary in interpreting the constitution and further amendments that are needed whether to the constitution or in existing legislation. The committee could particularly help determine whether the judiciary has been acting "impartially and courageously" when interpreting the federal constitution, he said.

PBS MAN CRIES FOUL OVER UMNO DOMINATING POSTS IN DUSUN KAMPUNGS
By Ezra Haganez
KOTA BELUD: A local Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) member from Kampung Pangi in Kelawat near here, Dumit Banati, had questioned the rationale of putting in perpetuity UMNO leaders as Village Headman in a predominantly Dusun kampung with many PBS members.
"Recently, the long-serving Ketua Kampung of Kg Pangi who was an UMNO member was replaced by yet another UMNO member, recommended by UMNO.
"Just where is the so-called power-sharing when only UMNO men could be considered for even ketua kampung post? And worse sometimes even the Pengerusi JKKK of the same kampung is also from UMNO," he told Borneo Herald.

PKR preaches good governance but teaches dirty polling tactics to its members, say members
By Ezra Haganez
KUDAT: At least three local Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leaders from Kudat claimed there were irregularities too at their weekend party polls.
Ondon Mangajil, who won a divisional committee seat, said he was unhappy because of glaring irregularities at the party polls where candidates aligned to incumbent Mursalim Tanjul were allowed to assist the monitoring team appointed by headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
“How could it be that even candidates themselves were running themselves the polling process? This does not happen in other political parties but it is allowed in PKR and worse it was only for certain group in the party.

Message to Muslims: I’m Sorry
By Nicholas D. Kristof
Many Americans have suggested that more moderate Muslims should stand up to extremists, speak out for tolerance, and apologize for sins committed by their brethren.
That’s reasonable adv ice, and as a moderate myself, I’m going to take it. (Throat clearing.) I hereby apologize to Muslims for the wave of bigotry and simple nuttiness that has lately been directed at you. The venom on the airwaves, equating Muslims with terrorists, should embarrass us more than you. Muslims are one of the last minorities in the United States that it is still possible to demean openly , and I apologize for the slurs.

Fill half with Sabahans: DAP
KOTA KINABALU: The Federal Government should seriously implement the 20-Point Agreement on Borneonisation by setting a target to fill at least half the 59 Federal departments in Sabah with Sabahans as heads before the next Malaysia Day celebration on September 16, 2011, said DAP Adviser Lim Kit Siang.
“Najib should table this target at the Cabinet meeting next Wednesday to demonstrate that his administration is serious in wanting to address the 47-year grievances, frustrations and discontent of Sabahans and Sarawakians – making the first Malaysia Day as a national public holiday really worthwhile and meaningful,” he said.

Tough going for S'wak BN in four Bidayuh seats
By Joe Fernandez
ANALYSIS If the Sarawak state election were held today, it would be extremely tough going for the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) in four of the six Bidayuh majority seats, namely Kedup, Bengoh, Tasik Biru and Opar.
This is the growing consensus on both sides of the political divide in the state. The tough verdict also follows the announcement by the opposition alliance, Pakatan Rakyat, that it will “take on the BN one-to-one in the Bidayuh seats”, if not all seats.
The two other Bidayuh seats, seen as safe BN seats at the moment, are Tarat and Tebedu which are both held by Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB).

Sosilawati’s case: Don’t be so quick to praise the police
Posted by SABM
This cynical attitude of the police, acting as they pleased without regard for the law and standard operating procedures, could not have thrived had senior police officers and the Home Minister not been quick to constantly protect the police at all cost and dismissing complaints when there is evidence of trigger happy shooting, brutality and fabrication of evidence.

By Ezra Haganez
PAPAR: Former PKR Divisional Head for Papar, Sylvester Balon Mujim, wanted the Party to nullify the party poll's results for the Division held yesterday and hold a fresh poll, a fairer and a more organised polling.
He claimed the Papar polling yesterday, in which he lost to lawyer Datuk James Ghani, was marred with various discrepancies.
"It was one of the worst-organised and dirtiest elections held. I am filing official complaint to the Party Election Committee and i hope they will reconvene and hold a fresh polls for Papar," he said in a statement here today.

The real mood on the Sarawak ground
By Bunga Pakma
Nobody at all was jumping up and down with glee in anticipation of Malaysia Day. This new-fangled holiday was a complete non-starter with my fellow Sarawakians. They regarded it with an indifference so profound that I can’t even call it “sullen”.
Sarawak was as beautiful and fresh as when I left it last. Simply to stroll about our kebun in the chill air at sunrise filled me with joy. We non-Muslims hardly noticed Hari Raya this year, and that struck me as different. Most of the shops in town stayed open and the vegetable market was also open for business, and stocked with jolly red capsicums and other goodies we see only on occasions when people are doing a lot of festive eating.

1Malaysia not about racial equality, insists Umno sec-gen
By Wong Choon Mei, Malaysia Chronicle
Not only has Prime Minister Najib Razak made a complete U-turn from an earlier attempt to distance his Umno party from ultra-Malay rights group Perkasa, his trusted lieutenants now even say Najib’s prized 1Malaysia plan is not about racial equality.
The latest comments from Umno secretary-general Tengku Adnan were immediately denounced by Pakatan Rakyat leaders.

Jokes for the day: Mahathir goes to Hell
Mahathir suffers a serious heart attack and dies. With his track record, obviously he goes to Hell where good ol' Satan awaits his arrival.
"Yo man, I'm not really sure what to do," says the Devil." You're on my list, but I have no room for you. As you definitely have to stay here, I'm left with no choice but to let someone else go".
"Now there's three folks here who weren't as bad as you. I'll let one of them go, but you will have to take their place. But I'll let you decide who leaves".
Despite the conditions, Mahathir thought that it was good, so he agreed.

Jokes for the day: Cause of death
There are three guys who have died.
They are outside the gate of Heaven. Unfortunately, lots of people had been dying recently, and they can’t let everyone in. St Peter decides that whichever of the three had suffered the worst and most tragic death would get in.
The first guy starts,
“I came home from work, to my flat, and I couldn't find my wife. I then heard her in the shower. I’d been suspecting that she was having an affair, and I was sure he was still in the flat. So I went looking for him but couldn't find him anywhere. Finally I went out onto the balcony and I saw a man hanging over the edge for dear life. So I stamped on his fingers, that didn’t work I went back into the flat and came out with a knife. Finally he fell but he landed in a bush in the garden and was still moving. So I went back into the flat and come back out with my refrigerator which I dropped killing him instantly. I went back into the flat, and started feeling guilty. So I took my gun and shot myself.”
The second guys says,
“Imagine this. You are washing windows at a local block of flats when you slip and fall. You think you are doomed, but then you catch yourself on a balcony. This happened to me. However, this guy came out of his flat, and instead of helping me, he tried to make me fall. Finally he cut my fingers off and I fell. I landed in a bush just in time to realise that the man was dropping a refrigerator on me. Then I died.”
“OK.” says the third man, “Imagine this. You are having an affair with a guy’s wife. The guy comes home…you hide in the refrigerator…”

TUNKU’S PROJEK KETUANAN MELAYU UMNO - THE NEO COLONIALIST
P. Waytha Moorthy writing from London
After 53 years of achieving independence Indians in Malaysia have remained permanently colonised by the UMNO Government. My forefathers were part of that great day on 31st August 1957.
My people equally celebrated the day Malaysia was born, 16 Sept 1963, and through Singapore, Sabah and Sarawak as well. We had hope. We hoped to build a new generation and society in the new nation.
Alas, we were played out right from the beginning by Tunku Abdul Rahman, followed by his successors.
One of the major concessions for the non-Malays in Peninsular Malaysia agreeing to Article 153 was the granting of citizenship to all Malaysians born after Merdeka and the existing non-Malays who pledged their allegiance to Malaya be given citizenship.
Never did our forefathers dream that we would be re colonised by the UMNO led government. Today, an estimated of 450,000 Malaysian Indians are stateless. This includes an estimated 150,000 stateless children. Pardon me, these are estimates and the Government would most certainly refute these estimates. But they know the problem is real and exists.

The east Malaysian enigma

I was born on the 2nd of August 1963 in a country called the Federation of Malaya. Six weeks later, on 16th September, the federation along with Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore merged to form Malaysia. A Malayan at birth, I then became a Malaysian. The date 16th September 1963 marked a significant transition. Indeed, there is a number of crucial differences between “Malaya” and “Malaysia”. While we often talk about the ‘social contract’— the unwritten agreement negotiated by our Independence-era leaders — we should also remember the terms upon which Sabah and Sarawak joined with Malaya to form Malaysia.

Illegal arms: Is Najib, Umno mulling using force to stay in power
Najib's Umno has ruled Malaysia since 1957 |
Concern is rising that Prime Minister Najib Razak has begun a series of moves including the use of force to retain control of Malaysia. Sparking the speculation is the second-day shutting down of popular political blog Malaysia Today run by the controversial Raja Petra Kamaruddin.
RPK had accused Najib’s government of buying small arms – pistols, sub-machine guns, stun-grenades and so forth – from underground sources in the overseas black markets, and of sending the Youth wing of his Umno party for paramilitary training.
Until now, the PM has not responded to the allegations.
Its hard to find 10 cents in the sewer, but Taib can dig 78 million!
Sarawak Report
It has emerged that Abdul Taib Mahmud and his family have conducted a massive raid on the public funding for Kuching’s new sewerage system.
Figures show that out of a total 530 million ringgit handed out from taxpayers’ money to pay for the project, a staggering 78 million ringgit has been siphoned off by the Taib family and a crony company called Nishimatsu Construction (Nishimatsu’s parent company is currently being prosecuted in Japan in connection with a massive bribery and corruption scandal).

I wish to comment on the latest ‘incident’ of certain Malay group’s criticism of the MP Teo Nie Ching’s presence in a surau in Kajang. There are certain Malays who are bent on ‘racialising’ Islam and making what is usually a Malay custom or belief be part of theIslamic tradition. In this case, many Malays believe that non-Muslims should not step foot in the mosque especially in the so called ‘sacred’ area of the prayer space.
If the non-Muslims were to do so, they must wear elaborate robes and step on carpets over the carpets used for prayers by Muslims. As a scholar in mosque architecture, I have completed a doctoral thesis on this subject matter and have published two books thus far; The Mosque as A Community Development Center by Penerbit UTM and the book Peranan, Kurikulum dan Rekabentuk Masjid Sebagai Pusat Pembangunan Masyarakat also by Penerbit UTM.

Is there no justice and rule of law in Malaysia? Can the police abuse their powers as they please and escape the law, justice, criminal prosecution and disciplinary action for all the unjustifiable and unlawful shootings, deaths in custody and torture?
We are here to remind Home Minister Hishammudin Hussein of the serious cases of police brutality over the last 2 years that are still awaiting justice and answers. The family members, survivors, supporters and their lawyers will not be deceived by the authorities’ half-hearted actions on these cases while hoping that in time, the uproar over these cases will fade away.

PENAMPANG: On September 7, 2010 at around 4.30pm, just before Dr Jeffrey Kitingan arrived at his house, Sokid Villa, a mystery lady by the name of Agnes Lim reached there in a car.
This mystery lady related to me while she was praying that day, she heard a voice, she believed it was a holy spirit, urging her to go to Jeffrey's house which she claimed she never knew the location was, and i believed her.
She also told me she never met Jeffrey. In fact, when she came in, she was asking one of my lady friends outside the office if she were the wife of Jeffrey... The others didn't pay much attention to this lady, but she has a story to tell...
Stephen Hawking: God did not create Universe
Sources BBC News
There is no place for God in theories on the creation of the Universe, Professor Stephen Hawking has said.
He had previously argued belief in a creator was not incompatible with science but in a new book, he concludes the Big Bang was an inevitable consequence of the laws of physics.
The Grand Design, part serialised in the Times, says there is no need to invoke God to set the Universe going.
"Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something," he concluded.

Kuala Lumpur 28 August 2010 - My name is Wee Meng Chee. I am a Malaysian who grew up harmoniously with friends from all all walks of life and different races. From my young age, I was taught under our national education system to always have an open mind so that some day I can in turn, contribute my intellectual thoughts back to my beloved country.
Over the past few weeks, servants of the government under the education system have committed certain acts which disrupted the racial sentiments in the country and like many of my fellow Malaysians, I felt saddened and at times angered by these black sheep who do not respect that Malaysia is a multi-racial country with freedom of religion.

How bad a treatment could be to a retiring IGP...
IGP Musa Hassan is retiring. Here are some of public comments on him, as carried by popular online portal Malaysiakini.com
Gerard Samuel Vijayan: All of these allegations and suspicions could have been avoided if the IGP (inspector-general of police) and the RMP (Royal Malaysian Police) had supported the formation of the IPCMC (Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission).
Even the government, for reasons best known to it, was opposed to the IPCMC when the Royal Commission on the Operations and Management of the RMP made its recommendations to the then PM Abdullah Badawi, who was supportive of the IPCMC, to set it up as soon as possible to restore public confidence in the police force.

KUCHING: PKR Sarawak wants Anwar Ibrahim to use his personal influence to bring a swift end to the simmering crisis in the Sabah chapter. Any further delay, it is said, would have an uncertain impact on the party facing imminent state elections in Sarawak.
Anwar received this firm message during a lightning visit to Limbang and Lawas with an overnight stopover in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, returning to Kuching on Wednesday.
"We told Anwar frankly that the issue of the 12 Sabah PKR leaders facing disciplinary action is affecting morale and preparation in Sarawak," said state PKR chief Baru Bian.
